Also, they usually ask for passenger ID if the stop was for a hidden reason. I was pulled over once for my 'license plate light being out'. When they came to the door, the first question asked was if my passenger was my ex-husband who had a warrant out for his arrest. I got pulled over for expired tags, and I turned off the major roadway to a small residential street so we wouldn’t block traffic, and the officer told me not to do that again, because I could end up with an officer thinking I was trying to flee, and it would be a much more dramatic situation than a minor traffic stop. Such said Sheriff rode her tail getting closer (too close!) and she panicked and sped up bc he was way too close then turned corner (forgot to signal she was making distance) and saw the “red & blue” got pulled over…reason? Speeding and signal failure. 4 sheriff cars in total! Searched her car and made her sit on the curb while they searched her car! Not even a block from our home! Gave her warnings for said infractions. Now she’s terrified that she’s done something wrong when in fact bc of the Sheriff coming up on her sooooo close and creating an unsafe situation to begin with! Her name is her license plate “number” so they knew it was a girl. Why did they search her car??? Why did he come up on her like that??? No one will answer us and I’m pissed off bc they made her get out and they searched and trashed her inside of her car! She wasn’t allowed to even call us either and she’s only 17!!! If they violated any rights you can file a lawsuit under section 1983 of title 42 of the US code. This happened to me and a friend of mine. They followed us for maybe 15-20 minutes, even pulling into a gas station, pulling up to the store front and waited for us to leave, and then following us back out, then getting on and off two different exists. We finally ended up calling the cops on THEM, and as soon as we did, their hidden bar lit up. One cop pulled my friend out of the car and made him do a sobriety test (he wasn't a drinker), while another stood next to my window. I kept asking why they pulled us over and he completely ignored me. When my friend got back in the car, he asked why we were being pulled over, and the other cop said it was because when we pulled out of the gas station, we didn't have our lights on (it was 11pm-ish). Except the problem with that is that they had already been following us for a while as we pulled into the gas station. As we were leaving, we were both checking the mirrors to see if they would start following us again and they did. But before we even left that parking area, i noticed his lights weren’t on (it was a heavily lighted area and hard to notice until you started to leave), and I said, "Hey, turn your lights on," and he did. The cops kept following us for a good while before we called the police on them. They never gave us a real reason why they pulled us over but we were both shook up after they let us go.

This is not ok and there should be policies within the departments that don't allow this. An unmarked can call for a marked unit and continue following if necessary but that Officer should not make the stop. Once a marked unit makes the stop the unmarked unit can give statements and turn over evidence if an arrest needs to be made or a ticket needs to be given.

US Mashal's task force looking for a fugitive that probably drives a similar vehicle as the girls. They had probable cause to stop them, then quickly let them go. Did nothing wrong.

I don’t believe the police. Not at all. That is not how proper stops are conducted. And if he was supposed to be working with the US Marshals, why was he out doing random stops without identification?? Where were the federal officers while he was doing this random stop? There’s something fishy here. I don’t buy their story.

At this point it seems they were real police and the women were scared. Why is that a story? These officers had a real reason to pull them over and may have had other suspicions due to what they were working on. Routine traffic stops can be extremely dangerous for officers.

Sounds to me like these two women need to get a life and possibly move somewhere else in the world if they can't handle being pulled over and a simple warning from traffic violations by an officer if they don't feel safe around the police officers they are doing something wrong

they pulled over in a safe area-so the fake cops weren't able to do the bad things-but if they pulled over somewhere less safe, who knows what could happen. This is a warning for everyone, not just people who "need to get a life" MAGA is stupid. Leave the cult

If they didn't think they did anything wrong, especially if it's what they were pulled over for, and they were pulled over by an unmarked vehicle by an officer that conducted the stop with a lack of transparency or in a particular manner, it would make many people feel uneasy if they were in a similar situation. Women have to be extra cautious about things in their lives that apparently you just don't seem to comprehend.

@@perkasami6305I agree, I am hyper vigilant with men I can't identify who can obviously exercise authority over me. It is a known fact that officers sometimes commit crimes by exploiting their power over them. It seems he went to that car window in full tactical gear then didn't identify himself and show his badge in order to get a very fearful reaction from the women, whatever his ultimate goal was. He definitely did violate SWAT protocol.

Women _are_ allowed to have short hair. Women also don't have to wear makeup and wear stereotypical feminine clothes. Besides, you complain about that, too. Maybe y'all should stop making everything about what women look like, because we're not here for your pleasure. Just because someone isn't _ultra_ feminine doesn't make them not a woman, and they can do whatever they like with their hair, dress how they like, look how they like, etc.

Here is an idea. Did it ever occur to anyone that possible these officers are part of a drug task force, and our poor little victims were in a shady neighborhood or someplace they shouldn't have been and when the officer figured out they weren't part of it he let them go? I, for one, will hold my decision until the investigation is complete.
