I have a feeling Clint Eastwood likes quiet. He just said he likes golf cause it’s talking quiet. They said he’s real quiet as a director. He doesn’t yell he quietly say ok start now, and at the end he doesn’t yell, he says ok stop now.

Clint was a very good singer, this man can do it all!

During his teenage years, Mitchum left home.He was arrested for vagrancy and put on a chain gang. He escaped that and hopped freight trains eventually ending up in California working in a factory where Marilyn Monroe worked.He made headlines as Hollywood's bad boy. because he was jailed for smoking marijuana.Every female movie star was in love with him.He never backed down from a fight if drawn into one.He could sing well and wrote songs.You can watch River of No Return where he sings and stars with his old factory worker friend Marilyn Monroe. Now for Elvis.He was a true rags to riches success story.All he had wanted to do was get a good job to support his family.As a youngster, he carried his guitar everywhere and developed his singing style by listening to country music on radio , attending faithfully his Pentecostal church and that of the black community.His father was sent to prison when he was about four and Elvis developed a great sense of responsibility. He was self taught musician on guitar and piano.He protected his friends when they were accosted .Early in his career and throughout he had many fist fights, protecting himself and his friends.He had lightning speed and friends said he could hit you ten times before you could react.He hospitalized a few people and always won his fights.There are videos of him in court. Uncle Sam drafted him during the height of his young career and he was in reconnaisance on the enemy border.He was promoted sergeant for his mental skills and leadership abilities. On his off time he visited children's hospitals.His popularity was such that when he took the polio vaccine, teenagers across Ameria took theirs.The US Dept of Health credits Elvis as stopping the polio epidemic.He was a real life free spirit, a true rebel and went against the norms of conservative to become successful.He continued despite white society calling him every name there is.He had the courage to be himself.He became a ninth degree black belt.He was friends with Mohammed Ali who once said I don't love nobody but Elvis. When they first met they sized each other up.They each stood up and went into their particular stances.In a flash Ali was on the floor caused by one swift karate kick by Elvis. Ali was quick but Elvis was quicker They each laughed. Elvis played rough sports and games. He rented out the roller rink at midnight and invited people to play War..the goal was to knock you off your skates.He played with fireworks with his pals, choosing sides and throwing them at each other.He would or down EP Blvd on his Harley or in a new car on a test drive at 150 mph.He was very daring.He woke up every day and planned something fun to do.He was a fun guy and was constantly laughing and playing pranks. He gave away at least 200 cadillacs in his life, homes, motorcycles trucks jewelry, boats college educations, etc. He wanted people to share in his wealth and gave almost all away during his life.Known for his kindness and generosity.He mesmerized anyone who saw him.Only one Elvis. One cool Dude.

Clint was a musician before he was an actor or director, he is a very talented musician, has written scores for movies, and everyone can sing a little, and so could Clint, probably better than most of those you hear today who sing while wandering all over the notes, and couldn't sing a song straight if they had to, they always have to add a move or 3 at the end of the note! Clint is just a multi-talented guy, as has been evidenced by many years of his superior work in most everything he attempts!

And I thought his first singing debut, at least on screen, was in Paint Your Wagon when he sang "I talk to the trees". After I picked my jaw up after the floor, I had to admit was not bad at all. It is still one of my favourite songs from that film musical, along with "Wanderin star" sang by Lee Marvin.

I grew up with Clint Eastwood (as a movie viewer) and I have to say...He is the MAN. My uncle watched all of his Western movies over and over throughout the years. Thank you, Clint, for all of your movies. I cherish them today at age 54........(as of May 18, 2017. High Plains Drifter and uncountable more....and as a Canadian Army and French Foreign Legion combat veteran, I love the meme of you on my FB. Upper pic reads" "Were you in the military?" The Cowboy Favorites album was from 1961. I have the song "Don't Fence Me In" from that album in my music collection. Then in 1980, Clint joined with Merle Haggard to do Barroom Buddies that topped the charts.
