Being a former man-pleaser extraordinaire, I can't even count how many times I wanted man to rule over me or approve of me instead of God. And every single time, it produced some form of death in my life. But when I want only God to reign over it, it's always freedom. Man was not created to dominate another man. Lord, let You now and forever be my only God!! Let me love people and serve people, but let me cling to YOU!!!! Thank you Kim for another stellar study!!! :)

This right here 🙌🏾"The truth of the human heart, is that we are born sinners and In our flesh dwell no good thing. If left to ourselves we would do all manner of evil continually..." I think this statement is so fitting and encouraging. We often feel as though we are "Entitled" and we take God and his faithfulness for granted. But this study, is a reminder that we are here ONLY by his grace ,and had it not been for his faithfulness towards us we would be so lost!! Thank you for your time and your dedication towards helping us to cling more to Christ each day. Love you my sis ❤️❤️

I loved how you name this chapter, Be Careful what you asked for? You're a blessing to me...

So many things come to my mind after reading this chapter and by the time I read it again Friday or Saturday night before the posting of Chapter 9, I'm sure I'll have more to say. Anyway I keep thinking how fast we forget, God the King of Kings just saved the Israelites several times, now they want a King oh boy.

YES! We read this and think, "Wow, didn't God just do.....??" But in our lives, we forget as well all the many ways He blesses, intervenes, leads and directs.... Keep us in remembrance, O God!

Absolutely, just today my friend was fusing about how hot it is outside today. I reminded her just a few days ago you were begging for that tropical whether. Then she reminded me of my bad memory lol, so yes we too forget. Lord help me to always remember you, because w/out you I am empty!!!
