Yeah, Arin seems to be incapable of focusing enough to figure out how to even play this game, so it's sadly gonna probably get dropped.

Someone should let Dan know that if he plays it alone, there is a setting for letting the game access a camera microphone so the xenomorph can hear your breathing and any screams you let loose.

I look down in the comments to confirm that everyone loves Arin but there not exactly enjoying watching him play this lol. We want to see it but Arin just doesn't seem to give a shit and thats ok. Just hand it over to Danny and then we might get a series thatll be a crazy fun to watch lol. Still love you Arin but you make it super easy to tell when your not enjoying yourself and we want you to just be happy.

This is really it. He's really bad at hiding how he's feeling, and it really kills the experience. It was the same way I felt when he just dicked around and was shitty during the three episodes of Spider-Man. If the vibe isn't there within 20 minutes just put it down. I know there's a schedule but this kind of output is disappointing for everyone.

To everyone saying Danny should be playing; I agree, but they said before that Dan doesn't have any recording equipment at his house. Arin has it all during the Backstreet Reunion Tour. I'm guessing Arin himself would have loved to have Dan play it too since he loves the Alien franchise.

They would have to send all the recording equipment to Dan, set it up, test to make sure its up and working without any bugs, then do a long recording session. The amount of time and effort that would take to do (and in the middle of a pandemic) is honestly too much.

This, is going to be painful to watch, Dan if you see this just play this game your self on your down time.

I dont think this game should cause them any worry. regardless if they're worried or not the way they censor the violence is way worse in my opinion

I'm beyond excited they finally play this, but for the love of god... please TRY to pay attention or at least pretend to, I want Dan to soak it all up because it's an amazing love letter to Alien.

I think Arin really wants this to be a frantic chase kind of game, instead of something where you deliberately slow yourself down.

I think its cause of what Arin kinda hinted towards in the first episode that they were just kinda doing this as a one off and only did a part 2 to see if they could see any spooky aliens and get some spooks for october but agh its so upsetting if they are trying to use this rich intense game as just a halloween gag like read the reviews check the game first theres tons of bad and cheap horror games to use.

Arin always wants to make games his own experience. He hates linear games where he has to listen and follow, and loves open world games where he can customize his experience. He has expectations for games to just let him be, but that kind of misses the point of playing games with linear rules of design, and it's irritating.

@@Krauerking the game was fine for him, as far as open world exploration goes. the expectations of every viewer, however... (or rather, a small but persistent contingent of the viewers, the ones that harangued him into playing it in the first place, for whom HK is their favorite game and they desperately want to see someone experience it the way they experienced it while also simultaneously making all the right decisions and not wasting any time...) Don't get me wrong, I'm as ready to criticize arin as anyone, especially when it comes to this video right here, But the Hollow Knight playthrough was never going to satisfy the people that wanted it the most. I remember breath of the wild, where Arin almost prided himself on the fact he, privately, had dozens of hours in the game and had still only done one divine beast, and was enjoying just going around, climbing things and whacking things.

Turns out, it didn't matter. Because they never finished this game.

Arin just being completely oblivious to everything is torture, but that's Arin for you. Ross killed Dan in front of him, and he didn't even notice. I kind of want Dan to play this, Arin is a bit too comically "horror movie levels of ignorant." "How do I craft medikit?" Meanwhile on the same page: *C L I C K H E R E T O C R A F T.* I'm not annoyed at Arin, it is funny, but painful funny.

Dan is the perfect avatar for the audience😂 "You're missing dialogue! Will you follow him, please?!" - You're on a dying space station with an unknown animal killing people and you still can't get along with your fellow humans to survive?!

Arin is the only man I've ever known to be oblivious enough to not see the MASSIVE BLINKING BUTTON saying "Click Here To Craft"

Oofta. Arin just skipping over dialogue and lore, when that's half of what this game is about, is just excruciating. Too bad Dan isn't playing, he appreciates lore and pacing much more than Arin, and is immensely more patient.

@@petrical8460 problem is less the lore, more that a lot of what you're supposed to do is explained in the dialogue. like in that scene where axel tells you to turn the generator off then sneak away- arin only read the "turn off the generator" objective then asked what he was supposed to do next.

Was thinking the same thing. Dan shows genuine excitement for the playthrough and Arins goes and does Among Us tasks while being chased or plot is happening, then stammers and stutters saying “I don’t know” when Dan tries to keep him on track.

I'm fairly certain Arin's brain automatically dismisses a lot of info on the basis that "Look, I'm a gamer, I know video games, I don't need to be told to press the joystick forward to walk". It's basically an anti-noise filter the should normally help keep focused on the important parts, except the filter is badly calibrated, so he actually misses the important parts...

Man, I find the censorship of the gore more unnerving than the gore itself. Wish they'd also release an uncensored version. I'd watch that all day!

I understand that this is mainly a comedy channel (riffing off game's dialogue, telling qUiRkY stories ect)... _but,_ I just feel really bad for Dan rn. He's clearly very invested/passionate in the aliens franchise (at least the first two movies), even knowing tonnes of movie and behind-the-scenes trivia. From the beginning of last episode I could tell that Dan was really looking forward too this.. Which is why it's a shame Arin is seemingly playing _more_ half-assed than usual (truly a talent lmao). I won't lie, when playing -seemingly- pretentious or dialogue-filled games, it _can_ be funny when Arin creates comedy from seriousness and Dan then bounces off with more enjoyable comedic-commentary... But, this just kinda hurts.. TL;DR I feel sorry for Dan

I have a connection with the second Alien movie (My mom went into labor with me in the theater watching Aliens when it game out [that dates me] and waited until it was over to tell anyone. I think it's mostly to do with KZread having their heads to far up in "Wokeville", that they have gone and made rules stating that ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that THEY deem "violent, gorey, sexuallized or with the intent to provoke violent behaviour" MUST be censored or the publisher risks demonetization. It's absolute garbage that others in this world are now taking it upon themselves to take over "responsibilities", "personal preferences/wants" and the "speaking out" of others into their own hands. Personally, i don't need some self entitled, over reaching cretins speaking on my damn behalf, thank you very much. I am quite capable of telling others what i think, how i feel and what i want, all on my own. But i digress... Anyway, sadly, that's why there is censoring and dancing boars. That's why we normal and rational, like minded people can't have nice things anymore lol. :/

It's always nice to see Danny excited to play a video game, especially since he usually just rides shotgun. I really hope that once they're able to that they do a full series and let Danny take the reins. It's adorable how much he loves the franchise.

I feel bad for Dan. He's clearly invested in the game, but unfortunately Arin already seems so uninterested. Such a bummer but I'm guessing this is gonna be another unfinished series. :(

I agree but I feel the game is too modern for Dan. Going by his playthrough of A Way Out I fear he would aim his camera into the floor/ceiling and have issues with all the controls

We didn't even get to see the coolest part of the game, thanks to a dancing warthog.

Why is every death being censored? Not just in this video but others as well. It’s not like they’ve never played violent games before.

Watching Arin do the complete opposite of sneaking around and not reading the dialogue is brutal. Arin running around the enemies hideout like it's a convention

This would be a million times better if Dan was playing. Sadenning.

Honestly, i agree. I really enjoy it when dan plays games in fact i tend to enjoy it more then then arin plays, he doesnt take story based games seriously and it's quite aggravating because he misses so much then doesnt know what's going on 20 seconds later

Game : The ship is in shambles. It's every man for himself. Every one but you has a gun and wants you dead. An alien killing machine is also on board, stalking in the shadows. Arin : Is there a button that could make me sprint *faster* ?

As much as I want them to continue playing this, it’s most likely this series is going to go through the same fate as resident evil 7. It’s just way too complicated for them. Which is a shame because you can tell this is Dan’s alley of expertise and he is super geeking out for this.

I posted a comment saying pretty much the same thing before I spotted yours. I cannot agree more. I really wish Arin would give up on the attempting to entertain and just actually play the game. Not really the format of this channel, though, so they will likely, unfortunately, drop this one, much to Dan's dismay.

They've done plenty of episodes where they're serious, and we liked those.

I was super excited about this playthrough, especially knowing Dan's love for the franchise! I'm really trying to enjoy it, but I feel like Arin does some things to intentionally piss off the part of his audience trying to take the game/story seriously at all. Even Dan kept getting on him for ignoring mechanics/story. I don't know why Arin does this with some playthroughs, don't get me wrong, I like Game Grumps and I do think they're hilarious, but no one is perfect, and this is a consistently frustrating attitude from Arin. Nothing will change from this comment, just me venting frustration about otherwise quality content. I.E. Let Dan take the reigns on games like this where Arin obviously won't be invested.

I'm already foreseeing how this series goes. Arin ignores nearly everything, the audience doesn't like that, understandably, and down votes the series, the series stops because GG thinks people don't like it or want to see it. sigh. I was really looking forward to this series too

Honestly I know they're only playing this for ghoul grumps, but it is one of my favorite games and I adore how into it Dan is. I wanna see them play the whole thing through if only to experience Dan's first time with the game.

Arin "games should tell you how to play through story and action" Hanson, after being chased and shot at by humans: I thought she'd be nice!

This needs to return as a stream game, and Dan needs to be playing it. He genuinely seems to be interested.

The recent censorship is kind of annoying. Like who would watch this playthrough and be like "AHHHH I WASN'T EXPECTING BLOOD AND GORE IN THIS GAME ABOUT AN ALIEN KILLING PEOPLE ON A SPACESHIP!"

@@Resters52_official Yeah, and they have done a lot of House Party videos lately that were also probably demonetized for all of the sex in them, even as heavily censored as they were. Dan had mentioned that up to that point only one was allowed to stay monetized in the whole series. They can probably afford a few demonetized videos here and there just to keep the lovelies happy but if it goes on for too long then the other people at the company will start to suffer.

@@Resters52_official I understand what you're saying, but in a game about aliens, based on the movie Alien, where they played an entire episode without seeing the alien, maybe wasn't the greatest decision to completely blank out the first alien sighting. I could get it in Dead by Daylight because you the player are repeatedly, purposely injuring people and you're not missing much seeing someone stuck on a hook. Literally watched this and the previous episode to see the alien along with their reaction and it wasn't here.

Arin walking past all the boxes he can loot is what I've come to expect.

Arin is sow low energy in these. He’s not putting any effort into looking for stuff he can use. I can’t wait for him to die and go back like 2 hours because he keeps running by save points.

I mean, it’s a seriously weird place to put then button. He was probably look at the bottom where the controls are and didn’t want to spend 5 years trying to find what he couldn’t see. He probably thought the flashing thing was some alert saying he could craft the thing, and was looking for how where the controls are.

Arin suffering adds to the humour, though I predict Dan will probably take over since he seems to be really into it!

I would seriously enjoy this playthrough....if they seriously played this game. You learn a lot by reading/listening but Arin's usually wonderful spazz-style royally blows with this medium. This is a Dan game 100%.

I would love to see Dan play through this. He has a respect of the xenomorph that brings out what this game is about. Plus it's nice to see Dan take the reigns from time to time.

Arin really is like some kind of gremlin just running through hostile areas smacking walls with a wrench hahaha

I was excited to see Arin, a guy who barely pays attention, play a game where he has to pay all the attention.

They won’t play this game past the first Alien encounter, Arin already said he expected this the be one and done, they’re only still playing because they never saw a damn alien in the first episode

I think they also did Silent Hill: Shattered Memories past Halloween and it was great!

Wish Dan was playing this, but I know it'll probably be just be one or two more episodes and then arin gets frustrated/bored like so many other games

It'll probably never happen, but I would love to see Dan in the driver's seat here. I don't watch Grumps vids in a linear fashion so maybe it's more recent than I think, but I feel like I haven't seen Dan playing for quite a while. I mean, I love you guys. Arin's style is just making it kind of hard to take in the plot.

Please continue this as a series! Loving it and Dan’s fun Alien facts
