    Yeah I mean, he's just fretting the notes within a particular key and making a sequence that results in a series of phrases that comprise a clear melodic motif while taking into account things like rhythm, harmony and dynamics. I'm a literal fetus and I can do that.

    the point of guitar circle jerk is to satirise opinions within the guitar community. One joke on there is that [insert popular youtuber who clearly can play guitar] can't play guitar.     I once met Eric back stage after a G3 with Joe Satriani and Stevie Vai. He was a genuinely kind person and had the softest hand I've ever shook. I was fourteen years old and I have my folks to thank for the experience. Do what you can in your life to keep your spirits up! \m/

    You're playing is so accurate that since I didn't know this song, I Shazamed it and it was able to identify it even though it isn't the original. Also, maybe I just don't know how Shazam really works. Keep on keeping on. Great videos my fellow Canadian.

    Comment to help the Algorithm. Thanks for posting this cover, Brandon. My dad passed away yesterday, and I'd forgotten how much he liked this song when I used to play it in Guitar Hero. He never could get the name right, because I knew which one he was asking for. He was the biggest supporter of my switch from plastic and buttons to wood and strings. Still haven't gotten good enough to play this awesome track. Not even mad, though. Practice'll get me there, some day.

    I have had a few teles, and they are good enough for me. And they are usually a lot cheaper than Les Pauls. Yeah, Les Paul's might be better, but since I don't play a whole lot I don't need one. I do want one tho

    @@jaideng721 les Paul’s are NOT better than teles, just different, if we’re just gonna go with build quality les Paul’s are pretty shit, while teles are a staple, and as far as sound goes it’s all personal preference

    @@SpadaFerPeople are still able to criticize work in which they are not experts in. Think of people that criticize movies. Could they do any better? Probably not. However they still can make valid critiques and point towards errors in the directors work. Still, I still thought this was a phenomenal cover even if there are some minor flaws.

    ​@@DanielDiezCansecoM got most of the notes right with no feeling and couldn't maintain momentum through the song. A great example of an intermediate player nailing the notes but missing the song. If I arrogantly attempted Jaco's version of Donna Lee you would see the same result. Wouldn't warrant being called out for it, except the apparent hubris of an intermediate player choosing a song beyond his skill level to attempt to dunk on his critics. He should have tried Thunderstruck and we wouldn't have noticed any issues.
