Could you possibly do a video showing and explaining exactly how to use a cliff gaff please? The reason I ask is because a lot of US fishermen fishing from cliffs use an Aussie built gaff but they don't know how. One I saw brought his fish to the surface and then threw his gaff toward the fish not knowing he had to thread it around his main line first. Obviously he didn't land the fish. Would be great if you could and if you do I'll get these guys to watch and learn.

@@mickssouthaussieadventures1631there is a gap in the top of the gaff. Like a big split ring with a gaff. Once u have landed a fish in a safe spot or the fish has tired. You preferably get a mate to pass your main fishing line through the gap. And then you let the gaff slide down to the fish and you jig the gaff until one of the prongs gets the fish

A real "Cliff hanger" today, with beatiful views, you deserve a million views...

Fishing is done here in northern California. They shut it down after just 6 weeks. I'm depressed. Your videos are next best thing. Thanks for sharing.

As an Albany local I really appreciate that you got out at all lately. The swell where you were looked big. I've caught lots (and I mean lots) of Buffalo Bream/Silver Drummer, never seen one as big as that thing you caught. Supposedly edible but yeah, nah mate.

Have seen a few weird lights over the southern ocean mate. Had to setup the camera and take a time-lapse photo to confirm I wasn’t seeing things. I wasn’t. No idea what it was. Navy doing stuff way offshore. UFO 🤷🏽

yeah for sure in april 98 one night i watched 2 glowing orbs for 25 mins on kangaroo island going thru the thorny acacia,i spoke to some locals and few old timers had seen the same things over the years, the stars in the outback put things into perspective! @@gidosfishingadventures
