Cleared Hot Episode 200 - Micah Fink

Ойын-сауық

Micah was raised in upstate New York and joined the military in 2003, later becoming a US Navy Seal and paramilitary contractor. Micah started Heroes and Horses in 2014 after realizing that, despite the thousands of PTSD-related nonprofits, and the billions spent every year, the statistics on veteran suicide and addiction were growing rapidly. In response to these staggering statistics, Micah created a veteran nonprofit with programming that was unlike anything else out there. His work with veterans has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Men's Journal, Tedx, YETIs 180 Out, Executive Producer of the 500 Mile Project, Ben Shapiro, Laura Ingraham, and many other national media outlets. When Micah isn't working, traveling, or spearfishing off the coast of a foreign land he is on a small ranch with his wife, Mackenzie, and their four children.

2018 class 3 H&H graduate here. Changed my life, I still draw from my experiences in the back country today.. it’s true! In the end I realized that everything I was looking for was already inside me … I realized that I was the one creating my own prison. Thank you Micah and team for putting me in a process to take the key and unlock my cell. Present day I’m a loving father, I volunteer in the community and I’m a business owner. Living life on my terms and following my purpose. Before H&H I could barely hold a job because of the reality I created. Thank you to all who support the program.. God Bless and TreatEmRough

While simultaneously hilarious at some moments. Thank you so much for this guys!! I've sent this to a several close friends and family members. I came home from work and told my wife about it. There's a great book called Denying the Soul. The author is M. Scott Peck. A great book on necessary pain which is the emotional pain vs physical pain. "Growing old is inevitable growing up this optional". Is a great author he also wrote: The Road Less Travelled and Beating To A Different Drum, etc.. He's not only a great author he was a United States army psychotherapist at the pentagon and he is so humorous and funny. His details of many stories and one of his best audios was self love versus self esteem. Really helped in raising teenagers and understanding myself a little more 😅

Grew up with this kid, my father was the owner of the cable tv company. He was always around pre 01 and was always the funniest guy around. Also got me into ska. Good to see him cranking it out still

Hi Andy, loved the podcast with you and your dad, this one was definitely the best podcast I've ever seen, two super cool dudes shooting the shit. I will send this to everyone I know and 90% probably won't watch it. Fuck them, this was awesome

Great episode. Another good one would be you getting the story of Jimmy Watson. Former team guy. Hes got a crazy story. Wouldn't be in person though since he's on house arrest right now.
