    In India, we have been making transparent crisps from tapioca, rice wheat starch for generations. We usually dry them in sun and then fry them like pappadum. They are delicious!

    If you fry them at a higher temperature they actually puff up kind of like shrimp chips! I heard they're tastier that way, but of course they're not clear anymore.

    Viktor Chmiel That sounds like a chip they had when I was a kid called “Munchos”. Puffed potato starch, vaguely reminiscent of potato chips. We called them “synthetics”, thinking we were clever. They were good, though.

    This is an Indian snack food. I've had to dehydrate the gel mixture for years, but we used tapioca not potato starch.

    Lem Hemsweoth - That was uncalled for! You obviously have no clue about what JenGail01 was talking about. During the golden and silver age of comics, WW didn’t have the ability to fly. It wasn’t until they rebooted her origin that they gave her this ability (which is fairly recent). Her Invisible Jet was as iconic as the Batmobile if not more.     Flour, not egg, in the tots. Microwave for about a minute before forming. Perfect tots every time😊 Also, if you put your potato "dough" in a brownie pan and let it cool, you can then cut it into squares/rectangles and fry them up. Gives you super crispy and delicious corners on your tots.
