That was the most beautiful sound I’ve ever heard come from a shofar. Thankyou for sharing the care of the shofar! We just go ours and I certainly need to pray for the Holy Spirit to guide me because.... well, I don’t sound anything close to that. Shalom

Check out some KZread videos that's how I learned. If you know how to make the elephant sound by pressing your lips together and blowing out the air, that's basically how you blow into the shophar and believe it or not you will hear an amazing sound. Enjoy!

I bought them to aid me in getting closer to Daddy God and to help break free from the strongholds that have bound me for the past 60+ yrs. Best video ever for cleaning and eliminating the nasty smell of a Shophar!! Thank you now, I can blow it without that bad odor. After cleaning it I poured an amazing cinnamon anointing oil in it and rotated it, in order to coat the inside with the oil. Then I let it drip dry in a large container. That really took the smell out. Shalom! Awesome sound wow!!

My shofar just arrived and OH that smell coming from both ends, but especially the mouthpiece. I know for sure that it's the real deal...a true rams horn. Thanks for the cleaning tutorial. A little disinfecting and some fragrant anointing oil and it'll be just fine. Shalom!

WOW!!!!!! I was given a shofar. Ive always wanted one too. I dont knkw how to play it. When the brother in christ showed me how to use it, it took a few blows then I did it. It was the key of G... I was shocked. What a blessing. Can you do a video on how to blow and do keys too? Please..

Do you think it's a good idea to clean the shofar when it is brand new? I have been blowing the ram horn for a while but recently switched to the kudu. The mouth piece is slightly different. But the sound is just... Idk. Kind of dull.

I found your channel because I just received a shofar that I ordered in the mail. It just arrived today. And when I tried to blow through it. It smelled so bad, I was like there has to be something that I can do to get rid of the smell. When I was a kid someone gave my parents a shofar. I tried to make sound through it. I started to panic because I couldn't make a trumpet noise. And today when I tried to make a trumpet noise. I could only blow air through it. But that panic feeling came back of doubting myself if I am actually ever going to be able to make sound through it. But I will look at videos and ask for God's help to teach me how to make sound. But first I need to get rid of the smell. Found this video hugely helpful for the proper maintenance on the shofar. Can you do more videos please. Of course as God leads.

Please know the breath of God(blowing air)is just as powerful as His voice(the sounding)...there have been times when the sound can be inappropriate. I rebuke and bind any panic you may have concerning the mighty kingdom tool in this weapon you have received in this timely season we live in and loose the heavenly host assigned to assist in your advancement/promotion being the kingdoms shofar intercessoring warrior through the Holy Spirit!! We are just the vessel that holds His shofar...let the Holy Spirit do all the work...we just get in the way if we get to involved😉

@@koladonai3408 So I was wondering what to do at night. You just answered my question. There are times when I can't sleep and it seems that God calls me to pray. And I still feel compelled to use it some how. But like you said there are times when it is inappropriate to play it. But at night when everyone in the house is sleeping I can blow air into quietly. And everyone that is anle to sleep will be able to sleep in peace.

@Kol Adonai When you blew into the Shofar it sounds as though you was sounding the🚨Alarm. I have been called to sound the Alarm, i felt that i could not do, but the Holy Spirit kept speaking to me telling me that i am just the vessel and it is the LORD who speaks through me. I will wait on the LORD to direct me on getting one. I would like a real ram horn Shofar, your video was very informative on how to clean the Shofar. Shalom. Forgive me if this sounds critical in nature, but have you had the conversation about "anointing" the shofar with the oil and frankincense with a rabbi? I was under the impression that only Levites or Kohanim (sp?) could anoint with anointing oil? Thanks for the video. I recently received a shofar as a gift (it's a small one - not anywhere near the size or beauty of yours), but I was really touched to receive it. I'm happy to know that how to care for it.

Is your shofar polished or natural? Does it matter using Thieves cleaner on polished shofars since the lemon oil in Thieves cleaner can strip off polish? Also can you annoint polished shofars or only unpolished shofars? I'm about to purchase a shofar and am not sure if I can clean a polished shofar with Thieves cleaner and annoint with oil?

Is Mrs Meyers cleaner fine to use in place of Thieves? :) I can go get thrives I just happen to have Mrs Meyers on hand. It's made with essential oils and plant derived cleaning ingredients according go the back. Thanks in advance ! I loved this video and you were the most helpful ❤️

Can you use frankincense incense instead of the resin?

Could you give us the name of the cleaning product that you used please. My husband and I use our shofars at our Church services.

I use a soft foam ear plug to keep water in.

My shofar far is probably about half almost have the size of the one I have in the video does that make it harder two make it sound

It is a beautiful shofar you have there. Can you tell me how long is your shofar in inches?

This shofar is big enough to clean in a bathtub! You probably won’t find a bristle brush that is both long enough and flexible enough to scrub the interior, so a piece of a clean, soft old sheet would work as a swab, being long enough and if cut sensibly to a long narrow rectangle, can be pulled through after back and forth rubbing. Any cleaning solution and other treatment can be applied the same way

I am not Jewish but have been learning and doing as Yeshua is directing me. I need to know where to and what to get such as the charcoal or any other items for the Feasts. Please help by putting links. incense, oils, decor, candles, incense burners. Anything that anyone can help me with. We are in the Fall Feasts. I learn a lot from Adam, Parable of the Vineyard but I was raised Baptist and am still trying to get sounds out of my Shofar. Any help is so very appreciated. Food is also important. Please help this Child of God.
