I like that Rubbing Alcohol and water method! I think you’re the second person to do that in KZread. I remember seeing a very old video on YT. This guy had some used Royal Foams and he dipped a sock in Rubbing Alcohol and put it on his hand and proceeded to rub the inside of the shoes with that sock to kill the bacteria and odor. I usually take the insoles out and scrub them with laundry detergent until no dirt or muck comes out of them. If the insides of the shoes are disgusting I just wet the whole shoe and repeat the laundry detergent and brush process. Then I put them in the wash.
interesting cleaning method! i definitely have a weird thing about buying used sneakers, but that's something i think i have to get over because i'm sure i would save a lot more money lol. i think $80 is still a lot for the condition of that sneaker, but after you cleaned them, definitely looked worth it. if someone paid over retail for a beat-up pair like that, i'd think they're crazy lol, but like you said, whatever suits your fancy :)
I don’t get why ppl don’t clean them up before selling them. He could have got asking price, also the way you did the laces is better… less wear and tear on them.

Hey I just copped a used pair of these. Have you ever cleaned the upper? I'm scared to clean and wear the paint off
how would u clean the top of the tongue?
What would you recommend to ice the soles? I got 2 used pairs of sb’s and they have translucent soles and I’d like to clean then ice them. Thanks
