Cleaning My Chain and Changing Oil

Changing my oil and filter on Yamaha FJ09, the chain was very dirty after my 1300 mile trip so I had to give it some TLC before I leave on my next adventure.
when cleaning my chain I typically use kerosene in a spray bottle, soak the chain and sprockets. after the grime and dirt come to the surface, after a good scrub with a soft wire brush I dry with clean paper towel, before applying new chain lube or wax. In this case I'm using "Lucas oil chain oil foam" I used this on my chain before my trip and it only lasted the trip so I don't know how I feel about it. easy it apply but not very good at the task at hand.
changing oil is a breeze and I tend to over change my oil, but fresh oil aint never hurt no motor, You Feel!
Thanks for watching
ill see you next week !

Great video. I have the exaysame bike. A couple of things I’ll point out just from experience, 1 don’t use a wire brush on your chain, it will tear the rubber orings. Just use a regular tooth brush. I went through 2 chains before I figured this out. Your chain looks like it has some rigid areas probably due to the same issue I had with loosing the internal protection. Secondly, it seemed as though you filled the oil past 3/4. Overfill could be disastrous. Love the bike!! Enjoy and ride safe bro!!
