We keep a small ash vac ($49 on amazon) right next to the stove. Each time we turn it off (because it gets warm in here) and restart it, we vacuum everything out except for taking off the back panel. It takes seconds literally. After 12 years with a stove that was failing to heat this house well, I can't tell you how amazing this stove is. We are saving so much on pellets because it heats up the house and we just shut it off for a few hours or overnight. It's our only heat source in a 2000 square foot ranch. Amazing!

Doesn't it make better since to just pull the motor and fan of the combustion blower and clean it all out? Otherwise I have to completely remove my chimney pipe from the rear and reinstall and reseal it?

Love my pelpro 130, really puts out the heat, but it is a pain to clean. I got a little lazy and skipped a few cleanings, noticed soot on my counter tops,. Cant stress this enough, got to keep it clean.

Does it have an ash pan to pull out?

I was looking at this stove , is it true that you won't send warranty parts ?

How often should glass have to be cleaned? Like on a Harman, the glass stays pretty clean for a few weeks. On this unit, we get whiteish/grey soot buikd uo on glass, requires daily cleaning. Just trying to see if this glass on this model gets dirty quick. I know if it is black build up, it us an air trim issue

My Harman used to get a black build up, cleaned it once a week. This PelPro seems to ash up daily, but it is light fly ash that wipes right off with a Windex wetted rag or paper towel.

Our glass door on our PelPro usually has to be cleaned every two days or so, usually the light grey ash.

02:15 I think you meant to say replace in reverse order (not same order) as you removed them.

So after cleaning, what is the start up process. Do you have to go through the same process when first installing it. Prime it?

Hi Jenny, the priming process only needs to happen if the auger shaft is empty. If you do not remove the pellets you can turn the unit on like normal.

How do you remove the knock out before connecting the air hose?

Hello, the knock out can be removed by using a flat head screw driver.
