I love how Kevin loves his furry babies. Anyone who loves animals is more than ok by me! I’ve made several of Kevin’s recipes which have become staples in my life now. We had about 90% of the eclipse here. I could see it through the clouds. The last time, in 2017, I had a party for my kids and neighbors. I bought everyone funny eclipse t shirts, glasses, and had snacks. It is good memory. This time it was just my husband and I. Things change. But the sun, moon and earth are here every day. I enjoy your videos very much!

How fun it was, Kevin, watching your pets help you clean house. They looked to be as attentive and invested in the project as you were. You are so kind and sweet to your pets in letting them join you and I think we all applauded and our hearts swelled when you gave Avery a kiss on her sweet nose. I don't think you can hardly imagine how delighted we all are when we get to see your pets up close being perfectly adorable!!! It truly is such a thrill for all of us, Kevin! It wasn't possible to see the eclipse from where I am but it was so wonderful to see it get darker in New York. Sensational photos of the sky during the eclipse where you are. How caring of you to wonder what the wild animals might think of such an event. I wonder too how the animals might respond. You know, Kevin, it's always such a feeling of satisfaction for we, the viewers, when you eat something that you made and then you actually show that you enjoy the taste of it. We often feel that we made it for you, because we made it with you, and are so thrilled that you liked it.

We were in the path of the recent eclipse, experiencing 98.3% totality. The eclipse was a big deal for me so I decided to go out onto my deck, lie down on my back, don my glasses and watch. It moved me. I was reminded that the last time I watched with my dad. I thought how vast the universe. How much better this would have been with a pillow. How the heck was I going to get back up? At the moment of deepest emotion a bird pooped on me.

Here in the northern Catskills it was overcast as well . But the chickens made a run for the coop. By the time they got there the sky was already becoming brighter again. Confused chickens are a hoot. Thank you so much for all the sunshine you bring into our lives .

I wish I could’ve seen that - the chickens running and confused, etc. They’re such entertainment anyway. I was in Utah where not much happened at all, but the northern Catskills sounds like a place I’d love to see. (Eclipse or no eclipse) 😊

Granular sugar also works perfectly to preserve flower arrangements. We observed the eclipse at 99% in Mi. Our grandkids and their parents got the total view by spending the night in Ohio. We had a wonderful 100 percent epic location of the eclipse in Ohio. Complete pitch black darkness. I held antique heritage silver dollars that belong to my late ancestors, and wore a locket of my late husband’s hair, silver fox. It was beautiful minutes…. Everyone cheered. Some firework’s were set off. Being along, I had a simple meal of shrimp cocktail, cheese and crackers, with champagne. It was a memorable moment in time, which I wrote in my journal. Love your eloquent and gracious videos.💕

I always cry with the Cody Francis song, in a good way, something about it touches my soul. We were at 83% and it was still very cool, i stood in our parking lot for almost two hours lol! Invited everyone i saw to view the sun with my eclipse glasses. Spreading the wonder of the event!. (We had 98% in 2017! That was amazing! Can't imagine full totality!) I live in the Catskills of New York, and your locale reminds me of the incredible beauty of nature that I have the joy of experiencing. I spent the eclipse with my brother, his wife, daughter and friends in Essex Junction, Vermont, and witnessed totality of the moon shutting out the sun. It became dark as night, but we had a little party also, with Moon pies, Sun Chips, light-up balloons, Eclipse Gum, and special tee shirts. My brother had a catastrophic stroke two years ago which left him unable to walk, talk, or care for himself. He was overjoyed that his big sister was there to celebrate this very special event, and his smiles and laughter were priceless. Warmest regards to you and your loved ones.

Hello Kevin, I live in Northern New Jersey and not in the line of totality for the eclipse. It was ominous looking outside but not totally dark. Having just experienced a 4.8 earthquake on Friday, I was not too disappointed. Mother Nature is nothing to laugh at for sure. Drinks and charcuterie on the patio sounds heavenly. Love this episode, especially seeing Goldie sleeping on that beautiful chair! I think that wax flowers are Australian like the eucalyptus and should last a long time. I was in Chardon, Ohio when the sun and moon crossed paths. Yes it was total--got to see the firey ring with a thrilling 10-sec diamond at 6:00. Awesome! We were gathering to celebrate the eclipse and to participate in a fundraiser for my 10-yo grandson who has leukemia. It was a wonderfully uplifting event: song, channeling, healing, chair massage, forest bathing, and late day drumming around a fire. Happy to share with you 😊

Hi Kevin, nice to see you. I, too, am doing some major house cleaning today. I made a tea to take a break and found you cleaning. 😀 I enjoyed the cute interactions with your pets. Love tulips; your arrangement is lovely. I must try the bacon puff pinwheels; they look delicious. Where I am, in Hamilton Ontario, we were in the direct line of total solar eclipse - just. I rushed home from work and set myself up to participate in that extraordinary event. Total darkness in the middle of the day. It was amazing. Everything, including all the humans who had gathered in my neighbourhood, got very quiet. The temperature dropped significantly. I heard a loud rumble, much like thunder. Apparently that booming sound was due to the sudden drop in temperature. And then it was all over; the sun returned, the temperature rose and life went on. Later tonight my daughter and I are going to a Shen Yun performance. We are both so excited. Although this is my gift to my daughter for her birthday, it's a gift to me, too. Your puff pastry appetizer looked so easy and quite delicious. Seeing you pour all that Vodka and then take a swig made me think how fun it would be to see you tipsy. I think I've got a pretty good idea as to what you'd be like anyway. All that bottled up humour would come pouring out, and you'd have us all in fits of laughter, no doubt.

At my home in East Texas the clouds parted just at the perfect time for us to have the total eclipse. It was a though a shroud feel over the yard. Maybe watching you can get me inspired to do the same. My house is not as old as yours, it's only 186 yrs old, with a fairly substantial update in 1881. I wish they had left it alone as I'd prefer it pure, but still it's rather a pleasant abode.

A florist gave me a tip for reviving/keeping tulips fresher for longer - just drop a copper penny into the water. That's it. It has always worked for me and the penny is shiny and new afterwards too!!

We drove up to the Lake Piseco area, It was cool seeing people getting ready in their yards and little parking areas and even in the bed of their pickup truck as we drove north. We just pulled over at about 2:40 and watched through our glasses. It was the coolest thing I think I've ever seen. It got SOOOOOO dark up there. It was so worth kind of throwing the days plans away and jumping on the moment. Thanks for your special Eclipse celebration!

Washington State on the coast. Raining clouds. So nothing to see. Sorry to say. Our house is pretty old. Three floors. Always up down. Good size house. Always cleaning. 3cats and 2 dogs. One husky and one german shepherd. All are special. Well behaved for the most part. Love all you do. Thank you.

Here in Ottawa Canada we had 99% eclipse which was amazing. It was fun sharing our glasses with neighbors for the event .
