Lynnette, I don’t understand Pennsylvania Dutch, but it’s fascinating too listen to you speak it! You keep your house spotless! I tried keeping mine that way when I was young. Now that I’m old, I don’t I don’t work as hard at everything, yet I admire cleanliness! Your home and your children are always spotless!

Lynette, I love hearing Pennsylvania Dutch spoken! I'm from Ohio and I was down in the Holmes County area yesterday. Just a day trip because it's only a 2 and a half hour drive for me. I live up in the Island Area of Ohio and not too far from Cedar Point, but out in the country. As I said, I love hearing your native language spoken. I've been known to stand next to Amish women who are conversing in that language, just to hear it! I've been hearing it spoken for over 40 years now and I never tire of it. I think it sounds pretty and sort of comforting in a way. Don't ever stop speaking it! I spent a lot of my high school years at the home of a German friend. She and her family spoke mostly German at home, unless I was there, then they spoke English to me. And my own Grandfather used to speak and sing in German sometimes. I don't understand German and I don't speak it, so I also don't understand much of what you were saying. But, I'm rather fluent in Pig Latin! LOL!

We lived in Arizona for 8 years. I love the cactus pictures. Texas is real pretty. Where we live cows and horses and fields not too far away. The birds are delightful. Love how you talk out loud. I love your style. Yes praying. I am working on my apartment little bit at a time especially during the times my work is slow.

There’s a holy GOD in Heaven, Who created you and I for His glory, but our sins have separated us from Him. the wages of sin is DEATH, but the FREE Gift of GOD is eternal life in CHRIST the LORD. CHRIST died for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. repent, stop living in sin, and believe in the Gospel.

Erin is right. I used to work on the Whilpool Tech phone lines. The number one reason a dryer wouldn't dry properly is venting. Be sure to check the vent, that it is clean and that it is not to long to vent outside. Also make sure your vent hose is metal and not the white plastic one. The metal one is much safer

Two things to check on the dryer, check your vent hose & clean out. Get a THIN BRUSH clean out the dryer vent inside the dryer. Or your heater element has gone up. But Great news dryers and washers are easy to fix. And usally not to pricey.

I have been remembering those who were affected by Dorian. Thankfully, we were prepared, but did not have much happen here as opposed to Norfolk and VA Beach. I am so glad you were prepared, but didn't need it! Praise God! I love following your cleaning video's and while I am certainly inspired, I am stuck with not being able to do much as I was diagnosed with Parkinson's and then severe scoliosis since 2014 and 2018. I had to quit teaching and really do miss my little kindergartners, but I find that I'm pretty good at figuring out ways that I can do things in an alternate way. I love your video's and your bible study helps when you are able to share them. Thank you! :)

I worked as an interpreter and teacher before I got sick and couldn’t anymore. Because of that I don’t use the language skills a lot now. I still teach Sign language at our homeschool group and I teach my son and 2 of his friends Spanish and French.

Regarding your dryer..the heating element is likely going out..I am sure it can be repaired. We have a home protection plan called American Home Shield that covers our appliances..We are very happy with it as appliance repair and replacement can be so costly..They also have a plan the cover systems as well..HVAC, plumbing and electrical.

My dryer does this about once a year. I take the front of the dryer off (after unplugging it) and I clean out all the lint. I also clean out the dryer venting as well. It always works WAY better after I do this. If it's not this, then check the heating element if your dryer is electric. Mine is propane gas. You probably don't need a new dryer yet!

Hi Lynette....regarding the dryer. Check the vent hose for a clog. Also, it may be the heating element in the dryer is going bad. The dryer I had in my apartment was similar and had no buzzer either. I purchased an old fashioned kitchen timer from Walmart ( the kind on a "spring"? That you twist to whatever time you need) and used that. Setting it and leaving it on top of the dryer. The bell was VERY loud!!! Worked well for over 9 yrs!

About your dryer, maybe check the vent that leads to outside. When mine starts to get clogged up, it takes a long time to dry. I have a wire guard on the exhaust vent outside to keep birds out of it but the wire guard can accumulate lint in it which clogs it. Check it out because it can be dangerous.

Lynette, I’m sure you know that just removing the lint from the lint trap is not enough. Make sure you “wash” the screen with hot water, soap and a brush. Not every time, but often because fabric softener can plug up the screen and the air can’t flow through.

I had the same problem with my dryer. It just was terrible drying clothes. I would have to run it through multiple cycles. I had to have a repairman come out at least three times in the first year. I actually had it for awhile and it was out of that first year warranty. I bought it at Home Depot and went back to my sales lady and explained the problem. She gave me a number to call in Atlanta, Georgia and I explained to them my problem. Home Depot refunded all the money I had paid for the dryer. Not the extended warranty folks but Home Depot refunded the money to us. I would buy from them again since they really helped us out - a honorable company. Rare in this world! Give it a try.

Loved your video. The Pennsylvania Dutch is pretty cool, however, without the words at the bottom I wouldn’t have known what you were saying. 😁 When you have to keep turning your dryer on multiple times to get your clothes dry, it usually means your heating element is going out. Usually a repair man can fix that at a decent price.

I also hear the German very distinctly. I spent many years there (my dad worked there for 17 years) and I got married in Heidelberg. You are speaking it with what I would call an "American" accent of course, but that is to be expected. I speak German with an American accent, too. LOL I hear a few Dutch words, it's definitely a blend of the two languages. It's beautiful, but I do hear the English words as you are speaking, too. I think it's amazing to learn different cultures....it was the BEST part of all the travels I was blessed with. I've lived in Egypt, Germany, Okinawa, Switzerland, Czechoslovakia and many places here in the US - including in the PA Dutch Country - and I was born/raised in Cincinnati OH as our "home" when we came home from overseas. @@LynetteYoder I noticed the picture of the Cincinnati "skyline" on your living room shelf decor in your new home. You have an absolutely lovely channel, a beautiful family and so many great recipes, discussions/chats, and DIY home ideas. I also appreciate the opportunity to learn so much about the Amish and Mennonite cultures. I don't say religion either - we are all Christians and brothers/sisters in Christ. Blessings to you, Nick and your family!! ~ Jan

I know you do lots of laundry, and I have to have an electric dryer. Take my word, gas dryers are a lot more efficient and provide heat without fail. Heating elements go out over time, but a good gas dryer will dry your clothes and be finished before the was load finishes it cycle. I have never had a dryer that was reliable. They are just like cellphone batteries.

I loved hearing the Pennsylvania Dutch :) I was surprised how many English were we slipped n there too lol We had that issue with a dryer once and all it needed was a new heating element. 🤷‍♀️

Check to see if your dryer is vented up through the roof. I had this problem and I changed the vent to vent outside through my garage. Made a huge difference.

It’s not. ☺️ it’s straight out the back. A very short pipe.

That new dyson cordless looks nice. Not sure of the model but I've seen it on a commercial on tv lately. I love my shark though!
