Clay Crushing Workhorse | Caesar Guerini Summit 12ga Review
ะกะฟะพัั
Our FIRST Caesar Guerini Review: The Summit | We had the chance to spend a day with Travis Mears to review this awesome shotgun from Caesar Guerini. The Summit O/U in 12 Gauge. The Summit is a great gun for sporting clays. Luckily, Travis is a highly regarded professional sporting clays shooter. His insight helped us out a ton with this review. Let's go!

I've had my CG summit since 2012 and shot it 2 to 3 times a week . I've never had a problem with it. The PIT STOP program is awesome
I own a Ceasar Guerini limited and L4S Fabarm. And I live close to the Company in Maryland. The company is Great and the Employees aew fantastic. The guns run great as well.
I finally got a straight 25 in trap this last Sunday. I love mine
Love to see the Fabarm xlr5 velocity vs the beretta multi target
Glad to see this video, workhorse definitely describes my summit. 17,000 rounds through it since last July and its run flawlessly
100% agree with CGs customer service. I had two CGs that needed some attention and they promptly took care of them.
Love the Guerini and Fabarm shotguns. Once again, great video. Thank you
I love my Summit Ascent with factory release triggers ! The patterns are great out of the L. Mod. chokes ! I just change shells at different distances. Thanks for sharing . . .
I have a summit .410 and love it only second to my invictus 3 ltd ascent.
Just got a Summit Sporting 3 weeks ago. Mines the non-adjust in the black receiver. The fit of this gun is absolutely perfect so I didn't need the adjustable comb. Plus, there is a pretty significant weight reduction in the back of the gun.
I duck hunt with a Fabarm XLR5 Waterfowler and got hooked on sporting clays. Really wanted to get a Guerini over under because I love the Fabarm so much BUT... Not being able to buy parts was a deal breaker. Don't want to have to ship a gun across the country from Santa Cruz CA for things I can fix myself. Ended up with a 725 Sporting and love it. Maybe a Guerini for my next over under if they change that policy. Would love to see the XLR5 Waterfowler stacked against other high end duck guns in a video!
Love CG, they actually take care of their customers!
Was looking to upgrade to this gun or a beretta 694.
Can you do a video on tips for people in wheelchairs like me who can't use their lower body?
You should review the CZ All American Trap combo. As an affordable trap combo.
Enjoyed the beauties on their website. A well fitting workhorse with gorgeous wood would be my down fall. The intricate engraving work Iโd rather not have to pay for. Nice to learn of their stellar service. Very refreshing nowadays. ๐๐ป
I bought one yesterday
Certainly not an entry-level gun, but on the lower end of high-end guns. Perhaps a better buy is the Beretta SP1, at about half the price. Not hating, I have both of these guns, and enjoy them both. I do prefer my CG, at least partly because my SP1 is a field model, so not the best for sporting clays (lower comb, 28" barrels etc). It still does fine. If I had to do it over, I would have gotten the SP1 sporting model with 30" barrels. No regrets at all with my CG Summit sport with the fixed comb and 30" barrels.
very, very, popular gun out at Defender
Have u ever reviewed a g force budget over and under 12 cause I could never afford this gun beautiful, but could not afford
How different were the two trigger pulls?
I can appreciate the comments on price but remember, this is a dedicated clays gun. If you want a nice O/U for a little clays and hunting get a 686 or a Fabarm. Shooting over a 1,000 rounds a month is very common for NSSA/NSCA shooters. Not something a $2k gun can handle for very long.
Can you PLEASE review the ATA Arms CY Single Piston 12 Gauge/28 Max 7 Semiautomatic Shotgun PLEASE!!!
Are you interested in reviewing GOWUTAR A20 RMR red dot sight?
Cool! Another gun I can't afford!
Itโs a nice gun
Can you do some more high rib trap gun reviews
What Ceasar Guerini model do you recommend for a hunting gun? What barrel length? Thanks!
@tajzikria5307
ะะน ะฑาฑััะฝ
Tempio or Woodlander
Does anyone have the cg temper sporting?
Can I use your video clips, edit them, and republish them on my Facebook page?
I kinda feel lilke I'm watching a 'serious' review comparison of various Aston Martin automobiles vs various Bentley/Rolls models. Ah me, the trials of the wealthy -lol. But as always, many things do NOT cost too much, I simply will never be able to afford them.

Well, I would have said the same thing 20 years ago when I was raising 4 kids on a government salary, but now that the kids are long gone and I'm retired, I'm surprised by what I can afford! It's all about priorities.
Hi Steve I have a question for Travis I am interested in getting a summit trap gun I would prefer a top barrel gun and I noticed that on the website they only offer it in a 34 inch barrel my preference would be a 30 inch barrel but I am willing to go to a 32 inch barrel what I want to know is that possible?
@travismears
ะะน ะฑาฑััะฝ
Thanks for watching and for reaching out! Summit Trap models come with 32" O/U and 34" Unsingle barrels as standard configuration. However, CG does make a 32" Unsingle that goes on the Summit Trap Compact model. So a Custom Order is doable to get the 32" Unsingle, yes.

ะะน ะฑาฑััะฝ
โ@@travismearsas you shoot professionally and sponsored by CG. Wondering your thoughts on the Invictus line compared to the other brands in the higher premium range. I've owned a Blaser F3 in the past and currently own a Beretta DT11 Black non carbon with b-fast adjustable comb 32" and Krieghoff K80 Vienna scroll flat rib 32" multiple barrel set 12ga, 20ga, 28ga and a unsingle trap barrel specialty designed for a #3 sporting stock. I have a close friend pondering getting the Invictus but with the price being similar to Krieghoff, Perazzi, Blaser and Beretta DT11 I really don't know what to say.
@travismears
ะะน ะฑาฑััะฝ
@@ToddA.Turcottethanks for reaching out. The Invictus is in line with its other premium competitors. Incredibly reliable and beautiful, but most importantly backed by the best company and customer service in the industry. You might also notice, that for the dollar spent the Invictus will be a prettier option. Engraving and wood offered at a similar price as the base models of the other brands. I have been shooting and abusing mine for 6 years and I couldnโt be happier.
@travismears
ะะน ะฑาฑััะฝ
@@ToddA.Turcotte another thing not to overlook. The annual service is a perk of ownership. Servicing some other premium brands can cost north of $500 every time.
Blaa, they charge more for left-handed shooters. Excellent review anyways! โคโค
@aidanclayton4048
ะะน ะฑาฑััะฝ
Unfortunately that's with almost every brand. Was charged $750 for a left handed stock from Zoli
@redsteam1
ะะน ะฑาฑััะฝ
@@aidanclayton4048 good looking out! I just started looking in this price range, have never experienced left-handed premiums before.
@redsteam1
ะะน ะฑาฑััะฝ
It's the right-handers who should be charged more! Hahahahah, how do people even shoot like that? ๐
@MrPanos2000
ะะน ะฑาฑััะฝ
Thats the reality of life. I had to pay -only- 100 euros more for a left handed stock for my Verney Carron though
@MumblesMarbleMouth
ะะน ะฑาฑััะฝ
It sucks being wrong handed.
I went to their website to check out the prices AND JESUS THATS A LOT
Adjustable comb, yet you didn't take advantage of it.
First
Are they making it out of diamonds and gold..... Jesus christ?!?!
$5,000 is not a gun that most people can afford. They are nice guns, but presenting it as affordable is a bit of a misnomer. And there is nothing wrong with a $1200 gun.
@colehafley9649
ะะน ะฑาฑััะฝ
5000 are entry level guns for competitive shooting. High end models are closer to 15k. A $1200 gun would be worn out in a years time. Cry once
@theleo91386
ะะน ะฑาฑััะฝ
I'd say that's a matter of perspective and priorities. I'd say most people could afford it, but they'd have to work a lot of OT or side hustle their but off for 6 months to a year. For anything close in reliability for $1,200 you'd probably be looking at a well used Browning Citori or a Beretta 686. It'll definitely bust clays and about any gunsmith should be able to work on it, but it won't have the fit and finish of this CG. If you get a $1,200 gun that has the fit and finish, it's not going to have the internals to hold up to the same amount of rounds and usually they don't have the same amount of support after purchase. Overall $5k is rite about the starting point (even with the B guns) for a nicer looking clays gun that you can shoot the snot out of and hand down to the next couple generations to do the same with.
You lost me at $4795
