    I love the way the colours and designs on these tiles tie in together without being identical. The tips you give as you work are very helpful and the tips in the comments section really add an extra dimension to your tutorials. I only found you yesterday and I've learned so much - you are a great teacher!

    these are beautiful!!! I think if you used liquid polymer on the back of the swirlyques that go across the glass beads it will stick to them........... Just a thought! But I love these tiles and I think they would make awesome pendants!

    putting the color on first will make difficult to put the swirls on. and clear nail polish works great just use a softer brush

    For the ATCs, could you just use any color for the background before applying the mica powders? Also, which brand of polymer clay do you recommend for the ATCs?

    Chris D. Well Primo and sculpy are both good. You should use any color you want and the mica powders just add glimmer. TFw, Sara

    myserenitycrafts Sara, what glaze do you use for products you make that have mica powders like jewelry? Cause I've heard many different things and I keep researching before buying. I just want to know that facts, because I've heard that if you don't glaze your items even after baking the polymer clay with the mica powders on...If it is jewelry, it will eventually fade or rub off!!

  • @wendymoyer782

    @wendymoyer782

    @@cdelosre2006 Yes, the mica powders will rub off. Sculpey makes glazes, in gloss and satin finishes, that can be used. Or, water based varathane can be used, or newer ultraviolet cured resins.

    I don't know if I missed this in one of your videos, but do you use a single layer of clay your tiles? It seems that when I use one layer, the piece gets really thin from pressing down on it with the stamp. Please let me know if there's a vid that explains this. Thanks!

    Please note mica will not stay with out sealing. It will ware after time. Also please let everyone know when using mica powders it is best to use a mask. Perfect pearls do not need sealing on raw clay but does need to be wet with water on baked. paint should not be apply to raw clay. You could also use liquid sculpy to adhere to class> Please also note that metal will not stay on baked clay. You would need to remove it after baking and use super glue, do not use the glue before, hope this helps. Great design ideas.

    Great I am glad to share. There are many books at the library which could help. You inspired me to try the tiles, I am new to mixed media , have a long background in polymer clay. I am glad that you were receptive to my comments. There is much to know about safety. . Look forward to more of your work.
