That is not at all true. Don't know where you heard that but they haven't been sueing anyone. They've been making merch and selling it and giving it away as promo material. They literally have boxes and stuff you can buy with the logo on it so why would they sue when they clearly want their brand out there.

I think someone was just trolling and some media thought it was real. Not the first time that's happened and you apparently fell for it as well. And when I say not the first time, media especially US media, has repeatedly blown up things that were pointless or take things out of context, or fall for clickbait trolling. Look up what some media headlined about PewDiePie for a prime example. MSM is still out of touch with online things.
