Unfortunately, what we have here in the USA is not free market capitalism. It is corporate socialist consumerism. FDR ended the republic and began socialism with SOCIAL security. Our tax money is taken from us and given to those the govt needs to vote to keep their power. Because we can buy things and own businesses does not make us free like we're told. Albeit much desired over full on communism the American dream died a hundred years ago. The founders did not commit treason for this.

I couldn’t stop laughing. Make whole life makes sense now. But also made me the Marine I was. You all should do a Veteran meetup. Imagine a huge group of Veterans carrying conversations like this all in one place… actually that might be a bad idea the more I think about it…😂😂😂😂

Nic I just watched the "Jake McNasty" video minutes ago and it is my favorite one. Thanks. You mentioned the Ludendorff Bridge ( Remagen) in Germany, my Dad was severely wounded by a German 88 artillery shell on March 4th 1945 while his Outfit ( 310th Infantry Regiment of the 78th Infantry Division) was in the process of taking that bridge with the 9th Armored Division. He was also in the 182nd Infantry Regiment of the Americal Division on Guadalcanal in November of 1942 to February of 1943. He is resting now with his Wife and my Mom who was Navy in Arlington National Cemetery.

Thank you guys again. Nick thicc electrician, not only do we share the same name, military service, and the haircut, I was a US history major. Was going to teach secondary ed (k-12) until I realized during my student teaching that I would be censored and teach only the facts the public school system wanted me to teach. The way you provide legitimate, factual history in an entertaining manner is absolutely amazing. My father has his master's in world history and served with both the army and then the state department during the Cold War. He later became an educator and taught history and social science. His end of the term final was an economic war game. It was the US vs any other foreign nation, especially socialist and communist countries. Students would form team groups and compete against one another. It would make his year if you would bring this into your class or at least mention it. God bless you guys. Thank you for all that y'all do.

Gotta be one of my most favorite episodes to date. Nic and Eli doing their level best to turn HLC to the Civ-Side and the joining in from Tyler is golden. The gravitas that Tyler speaks with though..I was just floored and found myself leaning in to listen. I could instantly tell he's seen some shit, and then when he explains his background I'm like...oh yeah. I have been fortunate to have been able to meet some guys that were very similar in career path, and it's kinda fascinating that they've all been very quiet/softer spoken, chill guys. Given the timing of meeting them though, they very well could have been part of the same unit, as it was '03 when I got to talk to them. Eli, Nic, and HLC don't disappoint as usual, and bravo for getting Nic to go on a SEVERAL minute rage rant; maybe make that an ongoing goal?

I hope nick can clarify this for me since he's an electrician. It sounds like the air defense rockets they were talking about in the beginning, work just like air bags, which is why they check for stray voltage. Any time, as a mechanic, you have to completely drain all the voltage from the circuits or you could in fact set the airbag off when messing with the connectors
