she sang that 100% live--nobody does that---and that performance is another example of NOT overplaying the song--just her and a piano, no crazy runs, etc.
new york new york at sinatra 100 - she KILLS it, bang bang is another one!
she always gives DRAMA, in every way possible
to know that Julie Andrews came out like right after and gave her a bug hug.. And by all reports was extremely pleased and happy with the performance.
You should hear her sing La Vie En Rose! The performance in the pink bow dress. Whether you react or not you should check it out
for me there have been 4 performances (tied to the Oscars)that should make it plain to ANYONE WITH A FUNCTIONAL BRAIN (and ears) that she is not just some pop diva. This performance, her performance of "Til It Happens To you", duet with Bradley Copper of "Shallow", and "Hold My Hand" from Top GUn2. She has one Oscar and several nominations. I daresay she will be a longtime presence in the music side of Oscars, if not for her acting.
