Shen Shen is an amazing singer! He can sing different types of song such as classical, pop, opera etc. If you like classical, you can react “Think of me”, “Memory”. If you like something different, you can react “The song of heaven island”, “Dalabengba”, “ Ring to doorbell and listen to yourself”…. What can sure is, his performances never fail to impress you!

Since you are a classical vocalist I suggest 'Think of Me' and 'Memory' for next reactions, then for different sides of Zhou Shen you should try The Song of Heaven Island, Ring the Door Bell..., Unravel, and of course his most phenomenally performance 'Dalabengba' imo.

Welcome to the world of Zhou Shen (his Western name is Charlie so he is also called Charlie Zhou or ShenShen by his fans). His voice didn't change during puberty. Still sounding like a girl in middle school he was badly discriminated by some of his classmates and he stopped singing in front of other people. Fortunately he regained confidence and was able to make his uniqueness his strength. Today he is one of the most popular singers in China and he is also a friend of Hua Chenyu. He studied Bel Canto at Lviv National Musical Academy in Ukraine. They taught him to sing in his tenor voice but not how to sing falsetto. His soprano singing is self-taught. He does not always sing that high and he has a wider range than shown in this performance but he prefers the upper range in most of his songs. Welcome to Zhou Shen's family. FYI, all Zhou Shen's performances have not been autotuned whatsoever and he always sings with a full open mic which not so many artists will do nowadays because of their abilities. By the way, you only listen to 1% of Zhou Shen's talents based on this video. To tell you a bit about Zhou Shen's background. He is from China. He got bullied when he was young just because his voice didn't change when puberty came but that was not his choice and people called him names like a sissy or he sounds like a woman etc..... because of that he didn't sing in front of people for a long time and he even tried to tone down his voice when he speaks. It takes a long time for him to accept his own voice again and gets where he is now all around the world. He studied Dentistry in Ukraine when he was young but because of the language barriers, he changes to study Classical music there instead. His goal is to combine Classical and Pop music together to introduce them to those who didn't know what Classical music is. His vocal range is very wide and his breath control is extremely good. He is a polite, funny, and humble guy. He can sing at least 12 different languages which included Mandarin, Cantonese, English, Russian, Ukraine, Polish, Japanese, Hindi, French, Italian, Thai, Spanish, etc........ He can even sing 6 different voices in one song. His music has so many different genres. If you are willing to dig into his performances, you will be amazed by his talents. A lot of music can heal people's bodies but not many can heal people,'s, souls. Zhou Shen's music is one of them that can heal your soul. btw, the lyrics of Dalabengba is not so important. You could just start your reaction without knowing anything of this song. It's a interesting song show a total different talent of Zhoushen.🤣

His voice has maybe some tension because this was his audition for the Super vocal competition. On the competition he also did a wonderful rendition of Barbra Steisant Memory. Other songs worth watching are "Big Fish, Dalabengba, Ring the Doorbell, Baby and he did an amazing duet/mashup with Tengri.

You can try ZhouShen's "Da la Beng ba". He sings it in five different voices.

Zhou Shen is a fascinating character. He went to Ukraine to train as a Dentist. His voice was noticed and he started on his journey to become a singer. He has some exceptional vocals. Aside from his voice, he has a captivating, impish personality. For a performance which is less Operatic, try "Monsters" on Singer 2020. His signature song is "Big Fish". It would be interesting to see you Reacting to a member of S Korean crossover group, Forestella, (Kang Hung-Ho), who unlike Zhou Shen had no formal vocal training prior to appearing on the show where Forestella was formed. His vocals on "Phantom of the Opera" are stunning, given he was untrained at that time. (He was a full time Research Chemist who was a Rock singer in a band in his spare time).

Beware, listening to this amazing young man’s voice can quickly turn into an obsession! I’ve seen lots of suggestions, and they’re all great, but I’d like to add ‘Ring the Doorbell’, great range, and a dark seductive sound. ‘Unravel’ he sings in Japanese And the ever popular ‘Let it Go’ sang in NINE languages! The background baitone voice was from one of the judges, he(廖昌永, Liao Channg Yong) is a well-known vocalist in China.

Yes he has a large range, I really like his “ring the doorbell” and in the “dalabengba” you could see he jumps from his low to high to sing. And he is also a language talented person, he sings in multiple languages “let it go” by him is in 9 languages, pretty amazing.

I'm so glad you finally found him. He is special so you will love watching all his songs. The Show was a competition for Classically trained singers so right up your alley. Super Vocals is one of my favourite shows and I have watched its 13 episodes 3 times as the characters and personalities were great. You can get it with English Subs. Like others mentioned...there is a lot more to him.He is not only technically good singer...he is also very good at emoting. If you choose to do more reactions to Zhou Shen..there is a playlist on my channel. That might make it easier for you to find other videos.( some with hard subs) The judges btw voiced some criticism on that audition..they felt he didn't finish at the same time as the music. Zhou Shen is “Treasure boy”.

His duet with another singer to a song called "doomsday spaceship" is seriously cool fwiw. Also looking forward to more Sohyang. I don't think you touched her King of the mask singer yet, which honestly has some of her best and it's complete variety. Breathe is epic. She sing raps Day Day and makes that epic. Mona Lisa is lots of high high mix rock. The one other you really need to experience is Fate from I am singer. So cool you did get Misty. Breathe is even more stunning. Home from masked singer is so cool as well. But Breathe from masked singer and Fate from I am singer are the two tops. Half the audience is in tears on Fate. Breathe keeps tearing recent reactors. They are something.

He is so young here and already really good but he was not very confident. He is amazing and just gets better and better. He has really been exploring the full range of his capabilities. I’m watching your reaction and just loving seeing someone experience ShenShen for the first time. Search Upwards To The Moon, a duet he sings with DingDing. Mind blowing. He has trained with the Chinese Opera. He teaches singing to juniors as well. In one session, the junior was running out of air and was challenged maintaining the note. ShenShen taught abdominal exercises to strengthen the core to give strength to longer notes. Worked immediately for me! His technique is amazing. I’ve learned a lot just watching his breathing and his mouth positioning.

FYI when he was in this competition, he did not have any formal voice training. He was self taught at that time by listening to tons and tons of music again and again and again since childhood. Thus he’s got an excellent ear. In fact he lives and breathes music . So glad he switched from dentistry to classical vocal (counter tenor) training at Ukraine Lviv Conservatory of Music. If y listen to the end of the last part of this video you would have heard it. I suggest you type the Chinese character of his name in KZread search. You can then choose to listen to all ZS’s different song genres, mix genres and across voices. Personally I think he is better than Dimash . PS Zhou Shen was actually singing Sarah Brightman’s part

Lastly (sorry, wasn’t expecting you to ask a question), ShenShen can best be studied by his work on “Our Song,” a singing competition in which a junior was paired with a Master. He was with Hacken Li. They did a nice range of styles (even a hip hop), but if you search Zhou Shen Our Song, you will find clips of individual performances. My favorite was their version of the theme song from Flight of the Condor.
