michelle Maybe because they been react to the 7 member solo song in the same day/time (according from all the cloth you see for these all people wear from all the other 6 BTS solo song reaction video) & Jin is the last to hear after the other 6 song they sit a whole time there, so especially because Awake is a calm song too, their body who maybe already not so fresh anymore, become more relax because this calm song

Like talks about the ups, and even any downs they thought were there. There's a female vocal teacher who was recommended to react to a couple of Kookie's covers, and she gave really nice complements about his voice (like different techniques and notes used).

if i remember it correctly, pdogg rejected this song about 20x but jin never gave up...it's not just his nature to be easily defeated that's why he keeps on working hard despite of heavy criticisms by others...also, jin's not very vocal when it comes to expressing his true feelings...that's why awake became his way of saying his inner struggle and wish to keep up w/ the rest of the members...the honesty of the words paired w/ jin's sweet voice made this song my ult fave solo on the album...it never fail to make me shed a tear everytime i listen to it

Honestly Jin’s voice has almost always been my favorite, I feel like he has the most powerful voice in the group, like if someone has to belt it would be him if that makes sense haha 😅😂 Anyways, love his voice and I love that he hasn’t been buried under the other members ♥️ P.S: I don’t think my comment can seem offensive but these days you never know so I just want to say that I’ve been a fan of BTS since they debuted with No More Dream and that I love all the members equally. Yeah, I agree, but I don't think his voice is the most stable. (To me at least? I think I'm going deaf lol) I think it's called a trill? Waving between two notes? I'm not sure what it is called, but he does that extremely well. (I'm learning music but still an amateur 😄) I don't think his voice is the *most* stable out of all the vocalists, but his voice is beautiful and extremely suited to songs like Awake, and his kind or voice can make you cry in minutes. My favourite rapper is Yoongi too! My favourite singers are Jungkook and Jimin. 💜 PS I'm not saying that the others aren't great and I think everyone is amazing in their own way. I just like those kind of voices.

Aimy Realaileean We are human & not robot. So as a human who complex, we definitly has different background with different opinion & also TASTE. That's why if some one have different taste, we can not force other to agree to us all the times. As long is not degrade & humiliate other taste or prefereance or other artist I think it's fine. I also like Jin voice because it's feel RELAXED to me. And btw, looks like from your last word, you love if SIN (Suga & jIN) can become a subunit right?! hehe.. ;)

Hmm..your opinion a kind to remembered that it looks bit different with/from what Jhope say in Burn the stage episode 8 last night who he say Jin is the most stable voice & also from what Jimin & Jungkook say in some interview that Jin voice is same good like the recording like Jin eat the CD. LOL

My baby, my bias, my beautiful angel, I was so happy when I heard he would have a solo song and I’m so proud of where he’s come; he still needs more love and more appreciation though. People would say his voice is only suited for ballads (but like WHERE ARE HIS LINES FOR BUTTERFLY HELLO), hence his line quantity, but I hope with this song (and their recent Japanese releases where he SLAYS THOSE HIGH NOTES?!!), people will love him not just for his visuals but for his vocals and overall personality ☺️ This song is also great because ARMY sing it with him during the concert 💜💜

"AWAKE" is my favourite song from the WINGS album. I'm glad that Jin is being recognised for his talent & NOT just his handsome face!

Jin really came into his own with this song. I remember watching the teaser over an over when it came out because his voice was soooooo beautiful and he'd never gotten a chance to show it off like that before. The message is so him and so real, the drums make it re-listenable to me just a gorgeous song

Favorite BTS song even if it’s a solo tied with save me. Jin has always been my favorite and when I saw the lyrics to this song for the first time, it got me right in the feels and I started crying. I like this song because someone mentioned that you can hear that they almost avoid minor scales, or anything sounding too minor and recently in the youtube red series Jin mentions that he gets depressed and upset too, but he tries to show his happy and positive side for everyone else. In k-pop groups the leader and the eldest member often sets the mood for what the groups internal structure is going to be like. Jin mentions that he tries not to impose himself on the rest of the members and as a result the members are a lot closer and easy going so in the song that's reflected. You can hear how it's supposed to sound happy but the lyrics are sad and the way the song is written carries a touch of sadness, almost as though he's reminding himself that he's happy for the others and that he's going to try his best anyways.

Reed I agree! Jin just wants to stay together as long as possible. Honestly, sometimes I feel like Jin only thinks that his purpose is to look good and play the clown. This guy is talented but doesn't fight for more lines. I remember RM once wondering how Jin can be satisfied with how things are.

There's something in AWAKE that made me addicted to it and made it my favorite song from the WINGS solo tracks, not just because Jin is my bias but... The music is so beautiful and hearing it being broke down by professionals made me realize what made it stick in my mind. Then lyrically, it's the most relatable song for everyone and I'm willing to get into a whole battle if someone tries to fight me for that. I've been waiting for this!! Awake was the song that seriously stood out to me on my first listen of the Wings album in terms of having such a distinct atmosphere. It's not overly complicated and sometimes that's necessary to highlight the voice.
