I wasn’t deeply falling in love with ‘Cover’ until a few months after I went to their concert. Now I really regret that they sang ‘Cover’ during the concert but I wasn’t listening carefully enough 😩

@@dnsvrchs yeah I’ve been a myday for a long time and ‘Cover’ just happened to be the song in the Gravity album that took me the longest time to resonate with since its vibe is slightly different from the rest of the songs in that album. But I guess as time goes by I start to relate to the lyrics more :)

The thing with other artists, in my opinion, is that when they hit high notes or harmonize they usually use it just to show their vocals (which is not bad), but Day6 use all their resources to showcase emotions. And that's powerful.

Omg we have the same start point! I only know some of their title track before, and now, after this channel slap me hard, i listen to all their discography like WOW, i was missed a gem! Stan day6 for better physic (and mental) haha.

So I have this theory(?) that everyone has at least two Day6 songs that are specifically "yours": 1) the EveryDay6 song for your birth month and 2) that one song that feels like they opened up your soul, looked inside, and wrote down what they saw there. This is that second one for me. Add to that the heartbreakingly gorgeous vocals AND the fact that Gravity is a super special album to me since it was my first (and only, so far) Day6 concert, and this song never fails to get me emotional. And yes, it's so, so, so good live! Thank you so much for reacting to it! With all sincerity, I actually kind of needed to cry a little today.

Honestly even though I am a myday, I personally didn’t like Entropy that much. There were like 2 songs on there that I liked. It’s not that the music is low quality, it just wasn’t my style like how Sunrise and Moonrise were.

The difference is BTS says to love yourself and DAY6 says it’s okay to express that sadness and pain. I love them both so much😭💜🥰

"I'm feeling a lot of things right now" - about every Day6 song ever. 6:16 same dude, same. 7:10 What Henry said about the octave jumps... I think Day6 is REALLY GOOD at creating melodies that fit the emotions of the lyrics, especially ones of catharsis or "outpouriness." The first examples that sprung to my mind were Somehow (the leap to the D5), I Would (basically the whole song, but especially where Sungjin pounds the chorus with "dashi hanbeon geuttareo" accentuated by the drum hits, and where Young K does the whoOOOOOOooo up to the F5 at the end), Still (like Kevin said). Love the breakdown about the major shift in the bridge and using the falsetto to highlight vulnerability too. 15:30 was golden.
