Bottom line, don't mess with Santa. Actually Santa technically ought to have powers similar to Superman's anyway, how else could he supposedly deliver gifts to over a billion kids in one night, he has to travel at close to the speed of light and not even in a straight line but accelerating so fast that he should shine in hawking radiation from the unruh effect.

Sorta. The set up is that he’s watching some crappy Christmas specials, when he ask why people don’t make more T.V. Specials for other holidays. He then goes to sleep only to dream that he is quantum leaping through other holiday scenarios. With him nearly being killed in all of them.

El Macho It's a reference to Quantum Leap, where the main character would time travel by jumping into the bodies of different people in history. He and the audience see him normally, but everyone else sees him as the person he 'leaped' into. Think it's done as a running gag here
