Cody Danny The President never was his arch nemesis, in fact, he honors Shadow for saving the world alongside Sonic aka the events of SA2. I think you mean the Commander of the Guardian Units of Nations who is a completely different character. Like, you literally see them on screen together. If you’re not gonna get over a game that’s over ten years old, at least try to not get over it without messing up the names/identities of the characters.

I hope Sega sees your mod and puts him in these games proper! This is sick!

The shading could really use some adjustments to make it more Mania-esque, and the jog animation looks silly but dang that run animation is smooooth.

Fenrir/DarkAura64 it’s because this rips sprites from sonic 3 which doesn’t have as many frames of animation, some sprites are fixed (like the running ones) but sprites like the jogging animation don’t have the extra frames and look weird

Smooth and masterful Sonic gameplay (any generation or character) is so pleasing to watch. I grew up in the Adventure Era so I’m right on the edge of classic gameplay being nostalgic and apart of life.

Honestly I do think Shadow could be pretty cool to have as a playable character in Sonic Mania. This video only helps solidify that in my mind.

I have these Sonix X spinning toys from McDonalds, and the Shadow looks so short and pudgy, I've always thought it looked like a "classic" Shadow.

I love how the Thunderstorm starts just as the music breaks as if on cue. It happened to me the first time I played through and thought it was supposed to be like that it was so amazing now every time I try to line it up. Anyway, I love the running animation but I could hardly appreciate it. It was frustrating seeing you roll every time there was a straight path.

You know, if the Sonic in Generations, Mania, and Forces is in a different timeline, that would mean that the line about Classic Sonic being from a different dimension. By that logic, in any Mania follow-ups, they can split off into their own timeline and introduce some characters that Sonic and the gang wouldn't meet until later, along with some areas from SA on-ward. It'd be a neat selling point for a future entry.

What have they done?! Combining the edge of today with the radicalness of the 90's?! The results could be catastrophic!

If there is pixel art credits in sonic movie 3 that will most likely be our first look at a classic shadow design

Cool

Sprinting animation is from Sonic Battle for the GBA. Very cool though.

The only thing missing is the alternate run animation for when you're going really fast, like after hitting a red spring.

It would be so cool if Sega brought shadow into the classic universe, his gameplay could be like the rush games so it's unique with the homing attack & boost. story Dr robotnik finds shadow in a abandoned laboratory also uses his chaos abilities to take down sonic, shadow is under robotnik's control until a few boss battles later, shadow is free from robotnik's control and helps sonic take the doctor down. Transforming into Super Sonic and Super Shadow to beat Robotniks most powerful creation and the end Sonic & Shadow become good friends. This is just a idea besides it's not going to happen.

I have a question: How do you run it? i use WinRAR so yeah. Don't know how to run it.

Soon as mania plus is out in July i will get this, love the old school sonic games. (What i wouldn't have given for konami to follow this approach with a rocket knight adventures game like this also, still nice to dream i guess).

This shadow could have looked a bit like the sonic in mania. He looks great, but he has the more, SaK style to it and when you think about it, they have the same eye shape, or something like that. You know? What makes the hedgehog characters have the look of having two eyes, or what makes them always have an angry expression
