If you continue to work on this mod, the only thing I suggest is working on sprite quality for the level itself. I can tell its ripped from Sonic 1. Making that would make it like Mania's in terms of how "organic" the level looks. (Excellent choice of music for Act 2, btw. My personal favorite remix from Tee Lopes.)

Now THAT''S what I call a very high quality level mod. Really polished.

The slightly changed/added level design and the old school Tee Lopes arranges of Star Light's music really give it that feel of Mania authenticity.

Both are by Tee. I personally would’ve made the Act 1 song a Mania mix of the original, and kept Act 2’s theme as it is.

Ryan Sanders well you actually fight that boss in the Main game if you play as Knuckles. I believe you fight it in Mirage Saloon Zone

As a jazz music fan I'd play this mod just to hear the music

At first I didn't even know it was a mod until I read the description. Now that's serious quality modding right there.

Sonic still runs. From time to time resting to the "Star Light Zone" and remembers how 90s were good.

The act 2 music is perfect. Made me cry here (this game is very nostalgic for me).

That midboss is a reference to the Sonic Chaos Boss

Very nice. I feel as if this level has something other Sonic levels lack and that is its simplicity. I feel as if many Sonic 2D levels favor overly complex level designs that make the pacing inconsistent, but this one had a decent balance of speed and platforming

Starlight zone in the style of sonic mania is much easier than the original. The lava cannon shoots boomerang-like spike balld and the bombs are easier to deal with

God i love all the loops everywhere

Awesome part is that it's even using a remix of Starlight that Tee himself made before the game. Major approval

The music from Act 2 of Star Light zone has some heavy vibes to “Night Fever” from the Bee Gees or at least 80’s/90’s kind of music

That was one amazing mod! The music was great, the level looks polished, and I really wish that this zone was in Sonic Mania. Also, was 1:08 intentional? Seemed like there was no collision detection for that wall there. Minus that, great mod to show off and claps to the maker! =)

The idea looks ok. The enemies need a bit more polishing, and the scenery a bit more work but overall it looks promising.

Now would be nice to put a completely mod Sonic 1 for Sonic Mania as DLC. Sonic 2 and 3 too!

Act 2 song sound like the “Chill Smash Bros. Remix”

Act II music reminds me of do the hustle.

I don't know. The music feels a little too slow and chill, the zone's palette is brigther which gives away the amazement from it's lights and the first boss and the changed boss music is unneeded. Not a bad mode though.

I usually don't do mods, but this looks really fun! Is it possible to get it on Switch?
