I'd travel back in the past to 1970s and buy me a diesel Mercedes sedan, Today Mercedes are garbage.

@@Perich29I think you better go to the Mercedes show floor and look again, but each dealership is different. Maybe I’m just lucky ? I do like the older models, I have a 2003 SL500, I won’t trade it or sell it, one of the best cars I’ve ever had, and my 2004 SLK230 kompressor is my #1 car. But I’m looking for a older mint condition low mileage Mercedes for my collection. The new gt black series and the new SL models do have my attention. Mercedes are not junk, only those who know how to take care of them should have them.

Definitely wayyy more appealing than the plastic-fantastic, hyper technical screens on wheels they currently slap together.

We drove in holiday with this car when i was 12 years old . As soon as i hear the sound of the doorshut i remember being in these holiday journeys in my dads Benz. Long gone.

I could sit there all day and open and close the doors on my 240,my words cant describe how solid it feels while it gives a little click noise. All without some tin can echo noise. Like a bank vault door.

I feel like the door sound never comes across on camera. It sounds tinny on camera, it sounds deeper and more solid in person. There are probably people who watch these videos who have never owned one of these cars and think "what the big deal?"

yes, I think classic Mercedes Benz specially w123 series are the only cars in the world that can use for daily driver.1980-1985 Models with M102 engine is more reliable than earlier models. But the should not have a heavy crash, and services by a professional classic car mechanic. then I can it a reliable car, even travel with it. hope it helps you.

this car has 6 speed gearbox. reverse gear is like other European cars. beside 4 and under 5.
