  I feel like the door sound never comes across on camera. It sounds tinny on camera, it sounds deeper and more solid in person. There are probably people who watch these videos who have never owned one of these cars and think "what the big deal?"

  I could sit there all day and open and close the doors on my 240,my words cant describe how solid it feels while it gives a little click noise. All without some tin can echo noise. Like a bank vault door.

  The E on 230E means Executive NOT injection as the word injection stsrts with" i " and not " E"

  no you are not right,it's a german word E for Einspritzung (fuel injection). the difference between 230 and 230E is the engine. W123s (1976-1980) have M110 engine which has a carbirator but w123s (1980-1985) have M102 engine and 230E here means fuel injection.

  Correct Einspritzer. Germans in the 80s would call things in the car first German and then maybe english translated in some parts. In modern cars they use English for everything unfortunately.

  If the key sticks in lock until it gets to that indention/gap in the door key then i would highly recommend powdered graphite. Grew up with the W116, W126,W140/C140, W124,W201,W202, W210 &R107/C107 R129 and W220/C215 Mercedes Benz
