Gotta love these types videos. It’s always great to see some of the best players play but just as much can be learned from a lower level of play.

It seems that, just like in life, one learns best from mistakes. Hopefully, we can learn from watching other players' mistakes and not have to do them ourself!

This is a very interesting game. I cant wait to play it when it arrives. I look forward to learn the mechanics the longer i play. It gets pretty deep like a game of chess.

@@joseph_b319 Classic Hive refers to Hive using just the original 11 bugs. Even though Hive Pocket and Hive Carbon both now come with the Mosquito and Ladybug, these are expansions. PS - If you really enjoy playing Hive, you should get the Pillbug expansion. It significantly increases the complexity and enjoyment of this already great game!

Great video. Can you make a video about how to defend against beetles? I know I can do spawn prevention with my own color bugs next to my queen but then they just get pinned there and I am down too much tempo. Especially the beetle bomb tactic. I am always on the defense and then just end up losing

Can you highlight the fan expansions you find interesting?

Let's start with this... John Yianni has said that he feels that Hive is now complete and there will not be any additional expansions. This makes part of me sad... but mostly happy. Two bugs that have powers that I feel could add both on offense and defense are the Mantis (with the ability to fly off with a piece from the hive) and the Scorpion (with the ability to sting another piece). (Both of these pieces are included in Play Hive Like a Champion) If you would like an expansion that would not require any new pieces, then try these: Jumping Spider - Moves three but one must be a jump directly over exactly one bug. Crawling Hopper - Can move one space before or after its jump. Double Hopper - Can make two jumps instead of just one.
