Interesting comparison. I wonder what all another manufacturer would point out if the Edge was one of the unamed units and it was presented from their viewpoint? CB stoves keep people warm, no doubt about it, but online reviews don't lie and Central doesn't have the best reputation on some of the review sites.

Thanks for the comment Joshua and for watching! Keep in mind we are by far the largest manufacturer of outdoor wood furnaces in North America so the amount of reviews we receive can be skewed. We are optimistic that the online reviews will trend more positive as time goes on.

@@centralboilerinc Having more reviews should result in a more statistically robust result. Low review volumes would result in skewed results.
I’ve had the classic 5648 for 15 years now and still I’ve never had to spend one cent on maintenance other than the astral and the water treatment, love mine, especially when I get my gas bill in January and it’s zero if this one ever does wear out on me I will be getting a classic edge to replace it with

Does the cover over the pumps on a Classic Edge have insulation? The Classics I've seen have the pumps outside the insulation in the cold. I hooked up one and was concerned about the pump freezing during a power outage.

Thanks for asking! If the pumps are installed at the outdoor furnace, then they should be insulated.
Has it ever been considered to have these being duel fuel ? Let's say propane being to secondary fuel to automatically heat the water when a fire goes out due to not being able to get wood in it in a timely manner to save the boiler from freezing.

It's most cost effective and efficient to have a backup indoor heating system. As long as the water continues to circulate, freezing should not be an issue.
This doesn’t carry much weight, I would prefer an independent review done by an educated customer..
I think your trying to hard to make a sale I'd rather have the polar you showed on the right. It's a more simple machine and who cates if it hooks to the internet
