Greyhound was fun in the 1970s: meeting girls, drinking beer, smoking pot. Those were the days!

My dad was American and my mom is British but I was born and always lived in England. When I was a child we went to visit relatives in the USA. I vaguely remember us travelling by Greyhound from New York down to the Southern states, and I was fascinated by the half upper deck!

The Greyhound ads are from around 1963. Groucho Marx [and his then-wife, Eden Hartford] appear in the second ad (and also manages to plug his latest book, "Memoirs of A Mangy Lover"). So are the Sinclair spots...

My dad and I used DuPont #7 products...Auto Cleaner, Chrome Cleaner, and Bug remover...but dad always had to use Turtle Wax paste wax. Lots of elbow grease to get the old cars shiny.

Fred Collins lent his v/o for Prestone, and Peter Thomas did the same for the DuPont spot.

Amazing, back then Greyhound could stay on the roads without flipping over, like were seeing now days with poor drivers !

I no longer have any Sinclair dealers in my area. They used to be everywhere. Sinclair had a great exhibit at the World's Fair. What percentage of the customers claimed that they failed to receive satisfaction and asked for their money back? Did all of them become satisfied and/or get their money refunded by the fuel company?

Wow, really great stuff. Nice jingles and such, rather than just using some horrible pop song. I recognize the blonde lady in the 6:15 spot as Mrs. Mendelbright from the episode of The Andy Griffith Show "Up in Barney's Room".

Next time I'm going to be smart and consider calling for through service.
