Thanks for showing us all the great and somewhat affordable cars on offer at CCA. TBH - I could have filled my garage 10 times over and then had to live in it due to the wife taking the house....Oh, the temptation. Have a great week Jonny

@@TheLateBrakeShow If you could get Mr Porter involved with the auction walk arounds that would be ace! Your features at Goodwood are my fav part of the weekend.
Your absolutely right Johnny, the Fiat AC 124 sport is an absolute beauty. They are a delight to drive. I bought my ‘69 Fiat AC 124 Sport back in 1980, and I still have it. The price on that car looks almost too cheap. I have mine insured now for $33k Aussie. At 17,000m from new that’s an awesome find. My AC has 105,000m from new and is restored with a full tan Connolly leather interior, plus some other enhancements. They are way rarer these days then the Alfa 105 coupe or even Lancia Fulvia, both competitors to the Fiat back in the day.
Wake n bake with late brake, top start to the morning 😊

Sir Ranulph Find-another would have an absolute field day here
An incredible selection of attainable cars. Johnny everything you put out is absolutely brilliant, even a simple walkaround such as this. Your wording and presenting is perfect.👍🏻

A Beetle with 2 miles on it! Jonny, you’re a legend 👍
Man, this took me right back to my youth, when I was waiting to reach my prime... I'm still waiting, but these cars, oh man. Brought tears to my eyes...
One of the most tempting classic auction lots I've seen in a long time! It's a case of - 'yep, I'd like that, that, that AND that', and that's not even including the cars that didn't feature in the walk around! Top notch vid as always Jonny 👍
Thanks Johnny, I just can't get over how many cars are out there being found in all shapes & sizes, in all states of repair, good & bad(ish) It's great! Thanks for this really enjoyed your overview.
you really are the best presenter of car related stuff jonny, love the auction preview vids*****

I always thought he was a bit boring in his 5th gear days….and his interest in “normal” or “boring” cars never fitted in with my own love of fast cars. But now he’s got his own channel here doing his own thing I really appreciate even though our tastes differ, his obviously genuine passion makes him very easy and enjoyable to watch. One of my favourite channels on KZread. Keep up the great work. 👍🏻

That blue Maserati 4200 looked lovely too.
My heart jumped and memories came flooding back when I saw that Golf GTi Mk II in red, exactly like my old one... then I was amazed to see that Fiat 124 Coupe - I worked at Frank Cannetero Motors (Fiat, Alfa,Peugot) and I really wanted one, as we had gotten in a Red one that sat in the showroom for months. I was saving up, hoping to be able to place a down payment on it and then, it was sold to an ordinary customer. I was driving a Fiat 128 2 door at the time. I can't call that little box a coupe...which I unfortunately rolled while playing rally driver on icy roads. Then came a 124 Spider... and an X1/9...and a Peugot 504 Estate diesel that was a particularly nice car to drive, but so slow...eventually I left there driving an Alfa 2000 Spider. Lots of great memories of my first decade in the automobile business have come back, thanks to seeing these fine cars.
I remember seeing quite a few Fiat 124 and 132s during the 80's here in Sydney. Those were the days.
Nice "The Prisoner" reference at 20:05, Jonny! You're Number One in my book!
My favourite's the one just out of shot. Usually 😂

Good to see the old 90s French hatches love ❤
I really enjoy these pre-auctions videos. Great work Johnny
You were correct about Felix Dennis - he was some character Seemingly he didn’t know how to drive “ I was born to Be driven “ as he said in his book
Absolutely amazing cars, thank you Johnny.
Fascinating video, Jonny, as always. Brilliant !
So many nice cars…..great edit on this aswell
Your such a natural at pre-auction previews Jonny. I really enjoyed this episode.

Thank you v much. I really enjoy them actually (tempting though they are).
Johnny your video of that pre auction line up was fantastic. I also once had a 1982 Audi GT coupe. Such a wonderful car in it's day. Keep these videos coming they are brilliant.
Love it Johnny 80s early 90s cars .. the visual shape of the vehicles are so pleasing to the eye .. I like modern car design just think there lacking in soul.. keep up the great work . Always great to watch.. superb content…. For me the granny cossy or the T25 ..
What a great auction this is going to be. Thanks for the introduction, Jonny.
20:03 Bold statement with so many rovers around you...;)
Excellent! Love a virtual tyre kick!
i love the 124 ac coupe i have one which i restored many years ago .
Wonderful video again Jonny! Thanks ever so much! 😎
Just in time for my breakfast and tea, thank you Jonny!
Yet another great enjoyable video from you Jonny, presented in your usual relaxed & informed style. Thank you for focussing in on some of the more 'leftfield' choices of cars on offer - not that i'd expect anything different fom you. Looking at some of the completed listings from the auction it would appear that a lot of the cars did not meet the values that I think was being expected - many cars seem to sell for quite reasonable - more affordable prices. Choice cars for me would be the low mileage Saxo Vts (Despite being the phase 3 facelift with the weird 15" wheels with no centrecaps), the low mileage Puma 1.7, The MK2 barnfind Jag (I would love to keep it with the unrestored look, update/recommision the mechanicals) - but as a previous owner of a T3 Whitestar Multivan - the standout 'car' for me is that gorgeous Caravelle 😍
Has to be the presenter of car shows in the land. Terrific episode Jonny.
Really enjoy these auction previews, and this particular one is more in my budget - very tempting, thank you!
“Warm hatch” 😂
Just as good as Harry, if not better. Love the fast pace.
WOW! Incredible cars! That unregistered Capri, my ol my; how I would've loved a car like that... Thanks Johnny!
Thank you Jonny some great old Motor cars.
That Granada is a beauty. Speaking of Belfast, I always remember Special Branch using them over here. Bulletproof. Literally
Well I just watched a selection of cars that I would love to have in a collection! Really well presented and you sold me on cars that I wouldn't have even looked at before like the AX! Nice to see a mint Saxo as I wanted one when I was younger so I could give it that Max Power look
I used to do PR for CCA so I know this edit must have been manic to get this preview up in time. Great job Jonny, always great to see CCA doing well.

Johnny, you still need to do a video in that guys Abarth Strada, i'm pretty sure he'd be happy to throw you the keys.. I'd be well happy seeing it put through it's paces, as you said it's one the best hot hatches of it's generation and there's so little footage of them !!
I had a AX gti in red as my second car when I was 18!! Insurance wasn't that bad then... Loved the car I remember when my dad and I went to buy it and the guy selling it took us for a test drive.. He was the same age as my dad but clearly liked to drive fast... I came out with a massive smile on my face my dad on the other hand was white as a sheet😂 it was stolen from outside my flat in Llandudno and found in Liverpool a few weeks later totally stripped.. I was gutted.. I got my insurance money and bought a 405 mi16 then went back to saxo's with a vtr then 2x vts... Great little cars

I had one as my second car too & it was red also. Crashed it not too badly & stripped it to modify it but never got round to it, sold for scrap probably 20 years ago. Had a Saxo VTS too! Really want this AX though….
Interesting collection of cars, I couldn't help looking past Johnny at all the cars he wasn't talking about.

Unfortunately we can't feature them all.
Hi Jonny. Some very nice stock . Is this your first coverage with this company ? And my goodness ! That 911 T sportomatic brought back some "unpleasant " memories . I restored a 1970 in around 1978 ish and it was very nearly as bad . You couldn't get parts back then so l handmade everything , bare metalled it , changed it from chocolate to silver and it was the first time l used Glasurit 54 line , to me still the best paint system ever. So the "albino" owner came to take the car and brought his loaded 12 bore shotgun in gratitude ! When a blind man with pink eyes looks you in the eyes with a loaded shotgun , you give him the keys ! Fortunately l only worked there so l still got paid ! And l repainted an exact copy of that Fiat 124 coupe in the early 1970 's . Thanks Jonny ......oh P.S ! I was threatened with a12 bore a few years later after repairing 2 identical Subaru estate cars for a couple of likely lads. I looked the one straight in the eyes and said " Go on then ! but l'm not leaving ' til you pay me ! " He started chuckling and said "You're one cool man and calmly took the cash out of his pocket , paid me and said what a great job l'd done and they both became long term customers ! Well neither of them were albino's with pink eyes so l knew l was safe !
I remember a manager of a Maxmeyer paints in Essex took us for a pub lunch in 1992 in his Granada Cosworth in white it looked awesome great sound to it i remember 💪, great car🙂
I want the Galaxie or the Capri. . . that would be a great birthday present from The Late Brake Show :) You have until the 2nd ...I kid but still love them.
More auction stuff!!! Thank you.
Fabulous unique cars, AX so rare and top end golf great value
Wow alot of nice motors there
Really enjoyed that video so good to see cars like the ax gti and strada and I always loved the unloved Granada scorpio, maybe I’m weird but I love the unusual and forgotten like the Citroen mehari etc
awesome video!
I was the same. My headmaster at primary school got a Fiat Strada when they came out and I was always amazed with the handles 😂
I love the Granada 24v . As a youth I got to drive my dads company issue Granada 2.0 twin cam but always longed for a 24v Cosworth!
Great selection of cars. Scorpio is a cool ride.
Your enthusiasm is catching.
Cheers johnny.
Another Brilliant Video Johnny, my car of choice would have to be the Ritmo or the Beetle at the Start.
Great vid. I was an early EV driver in 2011. Renault did about 7km/kwH. Now on an L322 4.4TDV8 (35mpg easily, 1000km range). Loved both for the very reasons you mention: silent EV (though the L322 is EV like), always full EV in the morning, cheap EV runs locally. L322 for the space, range and total lack of need for planning trips. Hardly ever experienced EV range anxiety: either make it easily, or do not start the trip (this was 2011: no fast charging and limited stations)
Another cracking video 👍🏾
Great video Jonny
I remember driving one of those beautiful little Fiat 124 Coupés in 1968; first car I ever drove that span its wheels going into second gear!
Great variety of cars , in varied conditions. Love the 2 Fiats , both the 124 coupe, and the 105 TC , which stood for twin cam rather than twin carb although it featured them , both great cars to drive .
@fhwolthuis

Yeah and the 2 litre 125/130 TC were beasts on another level!
Infectious @jonnysmith I want to buy at least 3 of those cars, especially the 1990 Audi. My boss had one, I'd just started working abs I drooled after it. Such a cool car.
Lots of goodies there Jonny 😍😎🤙👍
Id love to see the other cars in the collection
I'm normally much against locking cars away in storage, but that two-mile Beetle deserves to have nothing more than a deep clean and then be put up in a museum somewhere. How many two-mile Beetles can there be?! But that Fiat 124 Coupé is an absolute stunner. I'd find that hard to look away from if I was there with money...
Love the Karmann Ghia.
Thank you Jonny. I live far away from my homeland, but I'm still partial to the odd British auction review (there's another bloke called Harry who does this sort of thing too, you may have heard of him). My Dad owned several VWs and although that bronze Karmann convertible wouldn't have been his thing, he (and later I) knew what Karmann meant.
I absolutely agree with the view on the saxo. Prices of Novas rocketed. but it does make me feel old . I find it hard to comprehend anything with a two letter, two number reg plate being a classic!
Loving the Granada Scorpio. Back in the early 90’s I worked with a guy with the non Cosworth Scorpio and it was a delight to drive. Such a comfy, lounge feel from the interior and it wafted down the road beautifully. Just a shame the auto box is horrendous. 😊 you’ve got me hankering for an old shape mini….. time to fire up Autotrader! I’m going to dig out some old Max Power mags and see if I can find any of your features, honestly can’t remember all the guys who were involved in that but, at the time, it was an epic scene! Love the channel, Jonny, keep up the great content. Bravo! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

A friend of mine had one at the time it was a very quick car that would pull hard over 90mph which most cars didnt
That Strada is cool
Car pervert does a Harry Metcalfe.... top shelf stuff.
Some real beauties there ❤
Learnt to drive in a fiat 124 sport , 1973, aged11 😂😂😂😂. Johnny be good🥃
I would love to own that G-wagon.❤❤
Wow, my first car was a mars red early mk2 golf. 😊
So many stunning cars I’d love to buy, always had a soft spot for the Granada Cosworth, especially the ones in dark Green. Not sure why, but I love the Rolls Royce with over 200,000 miles on it, just think what those miles cost in fuel!
21:12 Ur-quattro prices have climbed down from that level, £55k tops is generally what you should be paying now
I had a Saxo VTR from new in 1999, with the 2 years free insurance from Direct Line. Cracking little car, and very timely as I’d just written off my Cavalier…
Only in Northern Ireland they would use a cossie as a teaching car 😂
As soon as I saw that Fiat I also thought of Gordon Murray, especially as it is from South Africa.
Oh goodness that was delicious.
3:49 holy moly that red Saab is NICE!

Hi Jonny. Just to let you know I purchased the Audi coupe from the auction. Since then its having a complete full restoration. If your interested in seeing the car once finished let me know.
Lot 824 is ❤ 😍❤
That Ford Scorpio is definitely a Sir Ranulph car!
I hope you sent Prof. Murray a text about that sweet, sweet 124 coupé Jonny.
That Ritmo/Strada, though ❤
That G Wagon is a perfect pub car. Throw up any time and roll out when you arrive home

Ha! Yep, chunder proof.
Classic cars have such uniqueness that modern cars can only dream of having. I can also imagine almost no cars new now will be in anywhere near the same condition as some of these. Things these days just arent built to last.
Had a strada/ritmo 105tc back in the day loved it that interior brings back memories and tc stood for twincam not twin carb
