@@styldsteel1 Horrible is a stretch...They were rough when introduced in '79, but were fine vehicles by the time the kinks were worked out - in '80 and especially '81. I think the R bodies, as well as the J body Mirada/Cordoba/Imperial represented a fascinating snapshot of an automaker in the midst of swift transition. Were they perfect? Far from it. @@hydroy1 Antifreeze would be part of fluids. Hoses and belts would work for a few weeks long enough to get them running and repaired and then look at the long-term fixes like that. I'm talking in terms of a flipper trying to get these things started up and verified running first and what they would basically need. May be surprised to get many many months out of the current rubber before finally gives out. Belts and hoses eventually yes but that's sort of like an air filter or spark plugs. It doesn't need to be changed immediately. Matter of fact my old man was a mechanic and he was very cheap. He would be the first to say to get these cars up and running and wait until the belts and brakes actually start needing to work before replacing it. So while I agree I would want to do new belts and hoses but especially belts, it's not necessary to get them restored to the point of running and driving.

Those 80-84 olds 98 and delta 88's are beautiful riding cars. having owned a few I felt they rode better than a similiar year caddy or lincoln. I would love to save them.
The most interesting are the 65-67 Olds Starfire (hot rod version of the Delta), the Buick Reatta (in corner of 2nd room), Cad. Allante, 67-68 Eldo, and the 2 Lincoln Versailles. The rest are just nice old cars that should be cleaned up and recommissioned.
