cause it is both, its rly perfect every time u do a fucked up ending, and it cuts to the menu and this music starts playing after the cutscene with nicole speaking, it gives off a feeling that i cant quite put into words

Love this theme because it captures the wistful nature of the time. I was in high school in the late 2000s and while some of the events/dialogue in the game are over the top for comedic effect, the attitudes are relatable and sadly some of them not too far from what actually happened. Makes you think about how things could have been different - maybe not better but didn't have to be that way. Edit: Thanks for the heart and absolute hats off to your performance! Listening to the original, this cover has so much more soul poured into it. Hard to believe 2009 was 15 years ago. The menu theme hits my feelings on the time, "Stability" when thinking about how I was as a teen, and "Moving" with it's rising uplifting start highlighting how far I've come from then...rounding off with its bittersweet notes. Things are better now but still can't help feeling like it could have been different.

Something so beautiful to be part of something so.... you get the idea haha

it's a great contrast. it has a melancholy to it that feels more aligned with the few more strictly serious moments in the game, and obviously the phone messages part where the theme plays and you get more context that adds to the scenes, some of it straight up devestating.

This may be me reading too deep but this theme really puts me into the head space of Nicole It's mostly cold and distant, but with some echoes of emotions that use to be there. Sadness, happiness, amusement maybe, but all of them are crushed by the unyielding apathy she caries. This song makes me think of someone who used to feel, but doesn't anymore, and only has memories of those feelings left to cling to

That theme plays toward the end of the opening cinematic for the game. Unfortunately, I don't think an isolated version of that song without dialogue exists

After digging alot and spending ALOT of time researching into the lore of the game in general and development, I think its linked to this song, "City Slicker" by Feather. For some reason, there is a considerably HUGE overlap between the brony fandom and the class of 09 fandom for some reason. At the moment, a person by the name of "Aaron Monroe" lays claim to the song.

I have a keyboard that I hook up to my computer. I feed MIDI output into a digital audio workstation (DAW), which can be used to make it sound however you want. The MIDI data also lets me make videos like this.
