Class 40s At 60 Event At East Lancs Railway - Friday 13th April 2018
Filmed on 13/4/18 at various locations on the East Lancashire Railway on the opening day of a three day gala to celebrate the English Electric Class 40s At 60 ( 1958-2018 ) . Also helping out were D9009 and 50015 whilst Class 40s in action were 40145 , 40135 , 40106 Plus special guests 40012 making it's Preservation debut and D213. On static display at Bury Bolton Street was D200 from the NRM at York. Sit back and enjoy the thrash , Clag and Tones from these superb locomotives.

Great video I was debating on coming to Irwell Vale just for the thrash but the Deltic made a great effect
Some superb paint jobs, on D213 and 41035 particularly. Great show by 40135 storming out of Bury B.S.

I bet they had to jump through hoops to get D200 from the NRM to the event and been told not to start her up 🙂
Wheres the boxes on 40145's undercarriage why were they removed?
Does the class 40 have the same engines as the class 20 as they sound d the same
40012 ,get her out on the main line !!!
That was a good move having parcel vans included on some of the trains. That way the nutjob window hangers couldn't get right to the front.
