I used to live right near stalybridge railway station and I could hear a class 37 from at least a mile away in the early hours of the morning in the late 1980s thrashing its arse off on a freight train happy days I love the sound of class 37's they're beasts!!!😎

One of these beasts comes thru Ingatestone station every Thursday about 23:00 and rattles the hell out of my cab office... As soon as I hear it coming I run into the platform to watch... Always pulling 3 or 4 yellow Network Rail coaches!! Love the power of it!!!!

That be Gretta's favourite train I think. 4 Tractors and 3 Nuke Flasks . Lol. Those Drs Drivers know how to drive the old girls. I bet they will miss them when they have all gone. Some brilliant clips in this one. 😀👍

I reckon that nuclear waste would rot down on my compost heap! I could add some graphite to shut-up the neutron activity a bit 💥☠️😁. Maybe run some heat exchanger pipes through it to warm-up me bath water. I love '37s, what a glorious racket they make! Nearly as loud as the complaints from my neighbours about my nuclear compost reactor 😷👀🤕💥☠️😁

They're one of the most reliable locomotives ever built 60 years later still going strong and thats why there's 102 still in existence out of 328 built as they can handle any route availability and that's why there are so many preserved on heritage railways! I wish I could have a real one but got nowhere to put it lol I can't wait until the diesel galas start up again after lockdown this year!!!😎

It's so If one class 37 fails they have got another locomotives to keep the train moving as its expensive to hire a Thunderbird class 57 to come and move the failed train plus it would be dangerous to leave a railway like blocked with nuclear flasks.
