Clark Smith swims the 4th fastest 500 yard freestyle in history, breaking the University of Texas pool and team record.
The American Record remains Peter Vanderkaay's (aka PVK), at 4:08.54, but it appear Smith is oncourse to break at the 2016 Men's NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in March.

I’ve never seen the USA swimming announcers face until now but I’ve heard his voice 1000 times over because he anounces every major meet you can think of in the US
its so smooth and controlled. it almost looks slow. but its not
