Can’t go wrong with a trapper style for sure. And yes the bareheaded knife is one of my favorites it’s gorgeous

Love the bone on that 32 pattern. I just picked an amber bone 32 up that I found in an antique store for $30 buried under a pile of overpriced knives.

It’s a 83 pattern im wanting to get a 72 tho. They are close in looks but I think the 72 is bigger

Your 83 is 3 3/8” closed, the 72 is 3 7/8” closed. The 72 is closer to a case copperhead size if that helps. Good luck!!
