Clara's Disturbing Egg Rant. [Phase Connect]

I actually don't know how she even managed to rant about this for 20+ minutes, but by the gods I really need sleep for internship.
If you want to see it for yourself, click the VOD link down below at exactly 1:05:22. Good luck out there.

She's completely correct. This is why thorough teratological studies need to span two generations from exposure: seemingly healthy offspring could be subtly damaged in many ways which prevent them from successfully reproducing, and the female gametes are of specific concern. Induction of second-generation sterility is/was being investigated as a more effective method of mosquito control than just releasing sterilized males, but it's a far more complicated feat than merely irradiating them, and I think it has been supplanted by an even more effective GMO method which specifically kills female offspring of the mutants, creating subsequent generations of male terminators until a population is exterminated.

@@Jacks_Suffocating_Nihilism no she is not completely correct, you don't even need to know biology but just have some vague understanding of how space and time work. One sperm fertilizes one egg to create a zygote- how would there be room for "all the eggs" to be inside of a single egg, this literally does not make any sense. Do all the other eggs also have every single egg inside them? Is there some sort of extradimensional space inside cooch that is able to store more mass inside of less matter? This is an absolutely wild take and I'm staggered to see someone trying to argue that it's 'completely correct' lol

Yeah, all the people just bashing on Clara without a second thought are clearly the ones who, one, don't know jack shit about biology, and two, couldn't decipher her aimless rambling. To be fair, that second one is a little forgivable, though not completely since the human brain specializes in pattern recognition. Anyway, she's only half right, but still kind of right. The egg that would one day become her (Clara), was already present at about 5 months of her mother existing within her own mother (grandmother). So, it was only half of her (Clara), because the egg is only half the genetic code, that had been cooking for whatever years her mom was when she had her (Clara).

@@LyaksandraBI think it can summarised with the statement, of which was said incompletely and in passing near the start of the clip: A female is born with *almost* all eggs she will have in her lifetime. To be honest, she starts off with the "egg in an egg" which is not true and maybe that's why people are sceptical? Eventually she gets at least some understanding though, since the fetus produces eggs while in womb (since she is born with them) so there is a moment when the fetus has all eggs while it is still in womb. Whether you can call it grandma cooking is up to a debate but she is not wrong, at least not entirely so.
