thats the problem common joes get in to clan wars and none of them can call , listin or behave with out being a problem to the rest of the team. we had a few good callers and they were awesome but time and time again thoes who have to listin kept getting Salty when it came to requiring a Sacrifice to advance in the match.. and our great caller just got sick of it and after seeing the worst people have to offer the hardest working members was disheartening..

i remember the first time we won a chunk of land.. none of us knew what to do next and the next battle we basically gave the land to girls und panzers lol cuz no one knew about defending at the time lol noobs we were

to be truthful about Team play like Clan Wars or Strongholds, or tier10 advances. Once you play on an Organized team..... you find out a few things... first, everyone on your team is in battle coms, so we all know whats going on. Second, the position you play and the places you go, are not the same as in PUBS. And finally, if you play a lot of team battles, you will find everything you learned in PUBS is worthless, and just to forget ALL of it, because, playing like your in a pub, does not help your team win. You must share hp, focus fire, and push on over matches, and that cannot be done, if your camping in the back like a muppet. Hope this helps.

and to add one more thing about Pub battles.... if you had to compare pub battles vs Team battles... the difference is, pub battles is like playing catch with your daddy in your back yard. no calls, no plays, just you and your dad throwing a ball. PUBS is practice. Team play, is more like, you get a jersey with your name on it, there is a play book, and positions to play. Also, there is a caller, and he tells you where to go, unlike pubs. And you better do as he says, following the call, is the MOST important part of team battle. Yah, you might be better than the caller, and you may think you know a better place to go... but to be truthful, no one give a shit what you think, at all, do what the caller says, or the team will have NO USE FOR YOU!!! ok, GL and HF

This strategy is not applicable to random battles. It requires people to work together and not hide behind rocks just because they don't want to get shot at.

Totally agree with the occasional "non-muppet match" commentary. Its a nice change to watch the match in the overall rather than through the lens of only one tanker.

Just to answer your questions. Yes we knew what map we were going to play on, we actually pick the maps we want to attack on the global map. It was also our defense which is why we didn’t have to be aggressive in this battle. The chiefs going up the hill knew the strvs were in the back because they would’ve popped up as a question mark.

@@derekaarts4997 907s are now analogs to 140s. They lose gun handling and depression for better armour and slightly more health. That's balanced. That's like 260 vs 277 That's not like 279e vs 277 or chief vs sconq thoufh

They know the map before. This is how they chose tanks lineup for the battle.

Loved the video, to answer your questions, yes you do see the map you will play on before you enter a clan wars match, as well as where you spawn(spawn 1 or spawn 2). And when you get shot by a hidden tank, the damage indicator will not tell you the tank, it will give you a question mark on the indicator if the tank that shot you is hidden. I played with some of these guys in clan wars over 2 years ago. Takes me back, anyways fantastic video. Love to see more.

I like the idea of watching clan wars, learning about a different mode is always worthwhile.

For me its even more interesting than normal battles. 🙂

Great Stuff, i can hear my Clanmates crying "They have so many Chieftains !" but we were really bad on this Map anyway. This Team performed superb vs an obviously strong Clan.

I enjoyed that. Was like watching a sporting event with a color commentator...... Most definitely do more!!

Clan wars are pretty fun watching...In ordinary games the teams hardly never use tactics as they should.

reach out to some of the clans/replays, maybe you can get the recording of the team chat too. it would be interesting to hear the strats too. to answer your qustions, if you get shot or bouce a shot from unspotted you see just the direction and the alpha/dmg of the shot. (in this case, if taking some 400hp shots, they'd know those were strvs - because leo's have 420) and these are the only tanks that work in the snipping positions. the ? means someone took dmg from smth that's unspotted. (usually arty) the map and which base you play on is known always. a draw during qualifiers means both teams lose. when it's the battle against the owner the draw is a win for the owner. (in this game, yolo was probably attacking the email clan as owner - based on how they played, email was defending). the hp difference is useless. it's computed with only the spotted tanks and within his (60tp) draw range. in this battle it wouldnt register the vz55s for example. so you cant rely on the counter at the top. in any case, the battle was won on strat the moment the first group of chiefs pushed up the hill. yolo almost pulled it back with the vz push, and without sacrificing the other couple of chifes going up they may even have won that flank.

When he went after the 279e he was trying to cover his cupola with the barrel. Since he was facing downhill to engage, it was more exposed than normal, hence putting the barrel up to protect it.

Claus.... yes, we drop on a map we know about. Though the drop zones don't always have maps some clans like to play on. So some maps will have 32 clans fighting for it, and others will have almost none.

I like it, it will help some of the newer clans learn strategy and make the game more competitive.

Reasonably sure the HP bars are only showing spotted tanks in the totals, so it will be under reading until fully discovered. And you don’t know what had hit you if it’s unspotted in the case of the STRV’s. You just get the damage received or bounced reading.

They have something called Advances, which is similar to Clan wars, but runs everyday. Our clan runs advances EVERYDAY, and clan wars EVERY season. And we are ALWAYS looking for players who want to learn team play, or just want to learn to play better over all. We are a top 69 Clan ;) on NA server... .but we fight mostly top 10 clans, because a lot of lower ranked clan, just dont play as much, or give up easy because they also faced a top 10 clan. Leaving clans like ours to only be in the Match Maker vs Top tier clans. But we still enjoy it, we learn a lot from those better clans, and they respect us, for not giving up. heck, those players join our advances to help us out sometimes... so we have a HUGE advantage, by being able to play with these better players, helping us tremendously. if your on NA, look us up... RVN-G, we would be happy to have you join us for the clan wars.

It depends on what version of clan wars to whether they play on one map for a series of battles. I think other clan wars are best of five with clans choosing maps they prefer with the initial map randomised

That is not clan wars, but it is tier 10.. .what your talking about is Advances. Advances is similar, but it involves up to 5 battles, and its a tug-o-war to the other clans Citadel. Advances is for clan resources that you can use to build clan boosters, like credits and crew exp. Clan wars is a one shot deal.... if you win you move to the next clan.. if you lose..its over right then and there. but you can drop every hour, during clan wars times. Now Clan wars also has fog of war, meaning you cannot see what the enemy has for tanks. And Advances you CAN see the enemy tanks. Advances does not use the global map, so there is no land to get, and it runs every night. Clan wars uses the global map, that you can get some land and collect gold while you own the land, each day, until the season ends, or some other clan knocks you out. CLan wars is on one map until you win the land or lose. up to 32 clans could fight for 1 piece of land, in clan wars. hope this helps a bit.

I been playing since 2011, and i have many clan battles under my belt.... and they HAVE tried many formats over the years, for clan wars. .. well maybe you don't understand the difference between the 2. so i give it a try to explain. In Advances.... the 5 battles you play is against the same clan every battle, win or lose until time is up... and there is no global map. its a duel between you and the clan match maker picked. you tanks do not get locked if you die, and its much less stressful, over all. this is where we tweak our tactics for clan wars. and practice like mad. its the tug-o-war, your speaking about above. Clan wars, is a different clan every battle. and could go as many as 8-9 battles total. and a loss ends it for your clan on that drop point. Other than that, they are the same, less the fog of war. you can only drop 3 per day, and you have to pick a drop zone on the map, that isn't already filled. max is 32 clans per drop. single elimination, then if you beat all those clans, you get to fight for the land by fighting the land owner.. if you lose and die.... your tank gets locked for 3 days, and you will have to use a different tank. lol its alot of info, and i only talked about 20% of what Clan wars really entails.

yes they know what map they will play and what side they spawn. the strategy person will have two or three battle plans and all has each tanks to deployed and they have sub tanks if not available or if they members have not research it yet.

I enjoyed that, I'd like to watch more clan battles. My clan on the EU server indulged me and let me play, but they preferred heavy tanks and I'm not really a heavy tank player. I think I annoyed them because I didn't do as i was told and usually tried to flank the enemy, which sometimes worked , sometimes didn't. If you play Clan Wars you must do as you're told!!

agreed, if you don't follow the caller, the team has no use for you. Whatever you learned in pubs... forget it, none of it applies when fighting in Clan wars or Advances. You move, fight and win/lose as a team.

This was the very first time for me to see so well strategised battle, nice work. Should I still be playing WOT this would have given quite a bit of insight fort strategy and tactics

Have spent many a stressful/ enjoyable night playing CW trying to expand or even just hold position on the global map. So many successful or failed strategies. Great teamwork and camaraderie. Its nothing like playing Randoms. But it takes a lot of discipline and time commitment to be there every night to cover the allotted battles.

People talking about strategy in clan battles...the only strategy is to camp the hardest. If you push first you lose. End of story. Same with random battles. The camping meta is real folks. You get rid of gold ammo in clan battles and you might see tanks moving around again because they have to to pen their shots.
