(Clan of) Xymox ~ Inside Entertainment ~ 06.02.1991

When I was 18 years old, I got a job at a local TV Studio. I begged them to let me use the 3-camera studio to produce my own show... and they agreed!
I got my friend to host, we built a set, and I lied to every record label and PR person I could find in the phone book to get interviews with my favorite artists.
Here's another clip from the show! Embarrassment be damned (wait until you hear my voice!), I really hope you enjoy them!

Found them in High School when Twist Of Shadows came out. A record store was playing the CD and I was an instant fan. It was so different than everything else. Dark but also light. I’m 50 years old and that album is still one of my favorites. I’d put on headphones and the music took me to a different place. Great mix of dark electro and guitars. It didn’t hurt that I had a huge crush on Anka. Still do! Lol.

As a great follower of the Clan since they existed, I consider their, albeit dignified, house-dance turn of the album "Metamorphosis", the only negative point of their discography.

I'm not the biggest follower of them, but I would agree!

Yeah, it was severe disappointing crap. I have no idea why they went in such a vapid direction. Obviously they didn’t stick with it.

@@soarornor It was almost certainly a momentary and experimental choice interpreted as a change of style (a 'metamorphosis, in fact) and oriented towards a commercial turning point. Fortunately, that half-hearted choice turned out to be an unsuccessful attempt. In my opinion, the goal was to follow the clubby music trend of the time, focusing on sales. I don't know what Ronny thinks about that album today, but I don't think "Metamorphosis" represented anything particularly significant in the Clan's discography.
I consider their "Phoenix" era as much as "Superstition" is to Siouxsie & The Banshees - indie-dance/rave songs, baggy clothes, a more relaxed approach. But I think unfortunately it didn't work too well for CoX...
