Agreed. I don't follow any rule unless I know why I'm doing it. Like I never salt the water when I'm making pasta because no one's made a valid case for why I should, and I always put the noodles in before I start the water, because I think it cooks faster, and no one will tell me why I shouldn't.

If you’re still wondering about the pasta thing, I use a lot of salt in my pasta water (to the point where it tastes almost like sea water). Reason being, the pasta only absorbs a small amount of the salt and it adds flavour to the pasta itself. I’d recommend trying one batch of pasta without salted water and another with salty water. See which one you enjoy more 🙂

Ava Kay also, its faster when you are doing many things at once. Adding salt to water increases its boiling point, meaning that the water can reach a higher temperature. This means that instead of putting pasta in the water before its boiling and keeping an eye on it for a while, the pasta will cook faster so you dont have to worry about it while cooking your protien, or making your sauce.

Guys I messaged Claire on Instagram as a reply to a story she posted and she replied back to me. Yes she is that person who replies to her fans, I honestly love her so much. This was her exact reply : "Haha I am in the process of figuring it out! Going to try the freelance thing for awhile. There's also a chance I'll be back to BA to shoot more videos, so stay tuned!". The level of dorkyness Brad and Claire have is such a nice change when it comes to all the other more serious chefs. GO TEAM Claire!

the struggle was the best part of the Claire BA videos! Its like she was climbing this impossible mountain and got to the top, and we all got to enjoy the peak! It was beautiful. The struggle is what made us connect with her. She is a human showing us her most vulnerable moments of "failure", and the struggles in the kitchen that we all go through was an inpiration to not give up in our own kitchens! Plus, junk food truned gourmet? Who could resist!!!!!!

I love bon appetit, seriously. Best cooking channel on KZread. BUT... If Claire has to leave, I hope she's leaving to start her own channel because she would soar. Only problem would be if the gourmet version series is Bon Appetit's intellectual property in some way...

I mean it's prolly BA's property however I don't think they would mind, and if they did i have a feeling the rest of the kitchen would get mad and quit as well so... as long as she does a shoutout to her old episodes on BA and tells people to subscribe to BA i think they would be quite happy to let her continue the series

Claire is honestly one of my favorite people on the internet. She's amazing. I could just listen to her talk about food for hours.

Brad over shares in the best way possible. I loved that back story and I totally understand what he was meaning.

Brad I grew up and still live in the same community you grew up in. Its so funny hearing it come from someone that I love.

The first video I've see from this channel is when Claire made a gourmet kitkat and I really really liked it. Since then I started watching some of her gourmet recipe videos and to know that she'll be leaving now I would like to express all the love and support for her. I've seen this mentioned in a few places but seemingly no one has a source for it. I hope it's just one of those internet rumors that gets passed around and ends up having no truth. But if she is leaving, then hopefully she's starting her own show somewhere.

Just Google "Claire Saffitz" and you will find "This Week at BA" which mentions her leaving. But it must not be very far, because it said we may still see her. Now this either means they have a bunch of videos with her still, or she's just changing departments and is still around.

What the heck? Claire is making something (relatively) simple and that viewers might actually try at home? Is she feeling alright? Is it because something Brad said? I bet it's. He's always crcking wise.
