That was a very good explanation. Unfortunately, you got the alphabet wrong. By the end, I was so distracted by that that your lesson was ineffective, because you didn't correct it, you just kept going. It's the best explanation on cladographs that I have found thus far, so kudos, but if your intent is to teach us, then pull this video down and redo it, because it really took away from a very clean and helpful explanation.

Y is the branch shape that has V and W species attached at its ends.

Excuse me, but I am taking IB, I am not sure if I need to put in the biological name of the traits, because I know none. If anyone doesn't clearly understand it. the basic understanding is the more traits a species has goes further out on the right side of the cladogram (because more evolved, new species like humans are more evolved are are currently living) and the marking of the traits is the turning point (evolved trait). When you put two traits on a line is because they came from the same starting genetic features, then one started to shift. Thank you for the presentation. It was not explained very simplistic to understand the bigger picture, but I was able to figure it out.

Could the VW branch be switched with the YZ branch and still work?

I tried making the cladogram before the video and that's what I made.

Shouldnt there be two answers for this question, because YZ could branch out first instead of VW, and both answers would be correct?

you could have done this in 5 mins, but thank you for posting. I get that you should get yours at the end of the day; just my 5cents.

Yes that is correct. Remember that cladograms are hypothesis and that branches can "swing" as long what is inside the branch stays constant. These type of questions are usually multiple choice questions that eliminate the possibility of multiple correct answers with only one possible diagram in one of the choices. Good Luck!
