CK LADZEKPO (1) - Drum Rhythm Principles of Percussion Polyrhythm from Ghana, West Africa
Музыка
Best teacher ever. Continuously teaching African Music, Drum and Dance at U.C. Berkeley since 1973! One of the most knowledgeable researchers ever. Hands down the best translator between traditional West African spiritual concepts of life... and... YOU!!!!!!!

I love the philosophy behind polyrhythms! Music is life!! Makes me laugh when the audience joins in and starts rushing….
rediscovering my people.. this great stuff
i am here because of Ricky Reed. CK was his teacher.
Wow. Just loved this. Thank you!
I think CK's 6 on 4 demo is the first drum lesson ANY drummer should take. It and his subsequent bell pattern lessons launched into drumkit playing. Forever grateful.
Fantastic video and explanations. Great Teacher!
Thank you so much for putting this up. It has opened a new world to me. He really is a fantastic teacher.
Good stuff! Thanks for posting it!
the thigh slapping demo at 5.50 was the most clear and simplest demo of 6:4 i have seen on youtube! a true master tends to make things seem so simple and easy to grasp. and i guess this guy must be one of those true masters. it just tends to be the snakes and wolves who like to keep it above your head.

Must be? He is. I have seen him play and been to his home. I saw him perform at the SF airport when an entourage from Ghana arrived for a special performance back in the 1970s that was beyond astounding.
