CJ-5 resurrection, will it run (YES)

My latest project is a 1979 Jeep CJ-5 that I acquired last Tuesday. It has lived a hard life as an orchard utility vehicle in Hood River Oregon. I bought it as a non running project. I cannot resist a rusty 4wd as long as the price is right.
Fortunately for me, Dana has a soft spot for riding in convertible Jeeps specifically so I owe her for this fairly dubious investment?
I hope you enjoy Rick and I messing around in the shop. I hope to convince him to get going on his Scout project which has been sitting for a couple years. I have talked with Rick about starting his own channel because the footage I left out is hysterical. Rick also has personal and paid projects enough for multiple channels.
As always you are getting a peek behind the veil to see the dumb stuff I get up to. I hope you enjoy the video.

Congrats about this Jeep resurection !! I'm a Jeep's owner (French) for 35 years. We can see in your video how a small ride in a Jeep can get to all of us this specific large smile. From far, Jeep is the best vehicle to give us this kind of smile and happiness. My current Jeep : WK 2006 diesel and TJ 1998 4.0L . Herve from France.

At my 70 years I did the last one, I enjoyed every second of it, it was pure entrainment, I can't wait for the next one, piece of cake, it became to look like if it was new, guys enjoy your project, teach your kids as good as possible, please be safe, blessings to you guys, from the endless summer paradise Puerto Rico Jesus Torres.

If I had a Jeep like that, I'd fix it up and go for a military look. I'd paint it olive drab with a big, white star on the hood and stencil lettering

Stay tuned, just working on the wiring. It’s a mess, I will be installing a new harness. It’s a train wreck.
