    Civ 5 has the best art style and vibe in all 4x games. Instead of going cartoony it went for something more classic and timeless - it's like a documentary of the history of mankind

  • @jedimario8860
    @jedimario88602 жыл бұрын

    I think part of what makes Civ 5 such a fun game is the tone it sets. The art style is a bit gritty but pretty realistic compared to 6, and the music is mostly peaceful but occasionally quite dramatic. All that with narration that competes with Morgan Freeman's own voice and it feels realistic, yet absolutely grandiose and incredible. So good.

    The meaning is that when a samurai is faced with the possibility of dying, they choose to risk their lives for their honor rather than turn from the challenge. It's not that they are trying to die it's that they realize the possibility of death and choose the path anyway. To say there is no other reasoning means it is a part of who they are. That honor and the willingness to defend it is integral to their character so much so that these actions need no further justification.

    Norway should be playable! The country of the Vikings, fjords, and mountains. Denmark and Sweden are playable, why the hell did they leave out Norway? ._.

    In order to compensate that, they added this "Norwegian Sky Infantry" to the Danish army. They did the same with the Finnish and the "Hakkapeliitta"; Swedish unit. I mean, if they were to put all significant historical powers in history... uff, they would have to separate all Chinese historical kingdoms to be started.

    *How to get all the wonders:* - Start as Pocatello it has a passive skill to choose bonuses from ruins also big city tiles grow and large tile as you found a city and your troops get more strength in the cities, so no one fight you on your own turf. - Rush all technology - Get Pyramids - Then everything else - Get 2 or 3 more cities - If someones attack destroy thier civilization, get the cities and connect all the roads to the capital to insainly boost your money. (i got from -200 to +700 with almost 50 cities) - Capture others who made World Wonders or cripple them enough. - Catch the world leader. - Use great people to skip all the building of a world wonder to 1 turn. - Close to end game you will have the most Money, Cities Culture, Faith, Tourism,Army and most resources because you knew first when to get them, And buy/capture cities that has one. *even the difficulty prince you still will win (not higher because the AI wont get any smarter but gets bonus funds which is bullshit.) - ????? -PROFIT !!!!!!!

    Since is a very late-game wonder, I see it's building as a prevention for other's cultural victory. Also, the counter-spying bonuses helps the tech-leadin civ to stop others to follow them. But all is in a stage of the game that practically the winner is set, and just time and bold decisions (like this wonder) can change.

    The Hermitage referred to in the game is a huge museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia. I always thought of the Hermitage as Andrew Jackson's plantation house in Tennessee (where I live) so for a while I was really confused... I always thought the rationale behind national wonders is that they're places really good at one particular commodity (culture, science, etc.) and are (in real life) respected for their historic value and some other nations try to mimic that creation. It's like saying Harvard is the Oxford University of the U.S. Anyhow, that's my two cents.

    Yes, and they aren't Greek, they didn't make the Parthenon--they had nothing but ill to do with the Parthenon. So the question remains as to WHY the Romans of all people are there.
