yeah... I think he's in the baltic, judging by his position relative to Ben who is in Crimea I think. Tom with Rome is in Algeria/Tunesia. England is in norway... Daltos is somewhere on the Russian steppes. And I am dumbfounded as to where on earth Duncan is.

I am 99% sure that the map isn't "Europe" but Europe inspired. You get a lot of Lakes in the 'inspired' maps.

easily the baltic, where estonia and all that are, looks to be east of sweden. and also yeah its inspired by europe, not exact, france and spain look nothing like it, and england, well that just looks like a jizzum stain xD

The map is deformed. It is like taking the section of a globe and stretching it into a square. Spain, England, Russia and Anatolia will be crazy deformed and regions like Italy will be shrunk.

EmperorNuthulu "The Sea People" is an "actual" thing. (whether they were actually Sea People and not just some raiders is the bit we're obviously not sure about). It's referenced in sources about the Bronze Age collapse. There's a Crash Course world history about it.

"The Sea People" were raiders who basically ended the bronze age. To this day, we aren't sure who they actually were. The people of the civilizations they dismantled just said "they came from the sea."

This map actually doesn't look like Europe at all, but has a semblance to it. If they wanted Europe, they should've play yet not another earth maps pack.

...Isn't the Baltic the body of water beween Denmark and the Baltic States? Norway is pretty close. Pretty sure it doesn't actually touch it, but it's pretty close and its neighbors all touch it.

This map type is absolute garbage and never resembles Europe at all.

The Europe map randomly generates a map inspired by Europe. The Mediterranean map actually gives you a map of the Mediterranean. It's probably my favorite map to play on.

I love seeing them struggle with this map because it is absolute garbage and doesn't resemble Europe at all because the game is randomly generated landmass similar to Europe but it always turns out trash.

The top of the Nile is typically featured in Europe maps. Not around tundra though.

exept that civ 5's meta is actually worse and more stale to be honest. Civ 6 have more fluid tech advancement and city placements and districts is more dynamic. Heck even civ beyond earth have a better civic as well as sience method than civ 5. Civ beyond earths tech webb with core+leaf techs allow for more dynamic choices as well and the unit upgrade system in civ beyond eearth means that having an army around constantly is perfectly fine since they upgrade globally for free even outside of your territory. That alone circumvent alot of the "fast speed outdate any attacking army over a defencive one" situation that civ 5 wars are plagued with in mutliplayer. I doubt that yogscast will go near civ beyond earth though to see the massive diffrences to civ 5 that is hidden under that hood. Add civ 5's broken multiplayer and yeaa....I remember why I moved on from civ 5 to civ 6/civ beyond earth.

@skaurgrud82, not at all, civ beyond earth was just thematically boring which lowers watchability, civ 6 still has game breaking bugs, exploits and severely unbalanced policy cards where theres not really a choice. while i do agree civ 5 multiplayer is generally broken at times, its definately not as broken as beyond earth and civ 6 if u consider how old the game is. You argued that civ 6 has better city placements, tech and districts, while that is better for people playing the game, it produces no additional entertainment value. ur points about civ 5 is pretty specific to Yogscast as they are still trash at the game especially war, ur suppose to go to war immediately after researching the upgraded unit and immediately Gold upgrading units. finally civ 5 nqmod has revitalised the game to be much more superior version of civ, fixing many of the bugs and rebalancing tech, policies and civs. TBH people are only getting bored of civ 5 because they've played countless hours more than the other games, but i got bored of civ 6 and beyond earth much quicker

Going off that idea, Lewis with constantinople is in the Baltic, Tom with Rome is down in Algeria/Tunesia somewhere. England is probably indeed up in Norway. The rest is a bit vague.

Athens is definitely the most ambiguous of the locations... it's somewhere in the seas around turkey it seems but where is hard to determine, also how the fuck is Ducnan roughly in the Netherlands, he's on like a land strip with sea on 2 sides, there's nothing like that anywhere in europe as far as I know unless they majorly fucked up the shape of france and spain on this map.

Guesses for locations based on the first showing: Lewis - finland Duncan - netherlands/belgium Ben - inbetween the caspian and black sea? Tom - Morocco daltos - The urals Pyrion - Greece? (this ones really fucked)

I would love to see a game where you use one of the 5x science and culture mods. They make each era take longer, but you keep the production of units. That means you actually make wars early, and units are relevant longer.

I can already see the future justification for several wars in this series being about taking the land each civ would historically own

Pyrions screen looked like a mix between the end of Solitaire and some 90's screensaver.

The reason that it changes is because of the hellblazers map pack remaking certain maps, so you have to uninstall the map pack from control panel > uninstall a program

These episodes with the starting glitches are so wierd to me. I played Civ 5 multiplayer for years with IRL friends and we never saw glitches on the order of the wierd ass shit Lewis & Co have. I mean sure, we ran into the occasional desync issue, but starting new games was relatively easy. Even once we started regularly using custom-made modpacks we didnt have the wierd ass issues the Yogs have run into. Im wondering if its some issue with thier recording software drivers conflicting with the game.

X 10 era length is a thing, you can set to quick but eras take longer
