He's not reasonable. He's just weirdly calm
Having spent ten years in local government I can say that Parks and Recreation is - despite many of the zaniness - a very, very realistic depiction of life in small town government. And the citizens of Pawnee are mild compared to many of the ones I encountered.
The transition between Mel's scenes was excellent 💯 also that chant guy was a hilarious running gag 😂

I love how that guy makes the turtle flu sound like it’s real.
So glad when I left the public works field and was able to land a career in another industry. People can be horrifying. Especially the ones that are disruptively aggressive or those that try to get physical. And the creeps. And the nasties. And the ignorant. And the discriminant. Just... a lot more horrid people out there than there should be...
