A collection of Citytv IDs and LGM commercial beds from 1991
Retrontario’s primary mission is the preservation, research and exhibition of rare videotape recordings (1970s to 1990s) recorded off of any and all Ontario (and surrounding area) TV channels; footage which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. We also hope to create an ongoing oral history of this content through comments left below the videos. Great stuff! I remember those bumpers with Mark Dailey-always great to hear him again. Between those segments and Speaker's Corner, there was a lot of audience participation.
I love this content, so nostalgic yet so depressing at the same time. The world has changed so much...sad to know it'll never go back. Ah well, every generation goes through the same hurdles, I guess...right? It is what it is. I'll just come here and remember the good times :)
I don't know how many other stations were doing this. But i kinda get the feeling that CityTV was probably the first at doing it.
