Sadly because of this unfortunate incident Deming is now nationally known for something terrible but it doesn't mean it is a terrible place. There was simply a horrible decision made by someone from Deming. I have lived in Deming my entire life and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Just like anywhere else it has it's faults but it's a beautiful place where the community cares about each other. Don't judge it by the mistake of a few..

If you move to Deming NM, make sure you walk around with your butt cheeks clinched when you see the police. I hear it's worth millions. 1.6 million to be exact.

One needs to visit before moving here. I’ve gone back home to Deming in recent months and it looks like a third world country, whoever the city foreman is, is not doing a good job, whoever the city administrator is needs to be fired. Clean up the streets from the trash, cut the weeds from north of the tracks to the south and find someone to fix the roads, never had there been so many bumps, holes, and unevenness when the older generation was working. We sold our house on lead st, a few months back and told the city we needed to have garbage bins out there, they said pile the trash on the side of the street, and they would pick it up, never did they go and pick it up. The golf course is a joke and not really a golf course y’all city council members should be ashamed of the town Deming is. Yet let’s give the city administration another raise, and the board of people that see Deming falling to what it is. That money should be going to its parks and streets, and maintenance and other projects but it seems y’all want it to go down. Walmart is the only major store, there is and most other small stores have closed down except dollar tree. Star max is the only form of entertainment and recreation for the young people, nothing much else caters to young people, but you can find a lot of vandalism and arson, which I’m sure is not just young people committing. Deming should only be lived in if there is no other alternative. If a rinky stink town is what you look for, by all means this is the town for you. Don’t get me started on their medical care facilities, all that money spent to make the hospital bigger for patients yet no one knows how to be doctors. Many have died needing better care yet the drs sent them home with an upset stomach diagnosis when it was something worse. Better off going to DR. Pepper for medical care. Deming used to be a proud beautiful town now it’s the worse town one could move to. RIP Deming. Till better people are in office and better city foreman. You used to be a great city Deming.

@@Douglas4nations just depends on the church you’re looking for. The Apostolic churches are not what they should be is all I know, I came from there, they are letting to much of the world in the church. I can’t speak for the other Churches.

@@anelrameiraminbad4055 Thanks for the reply. I don't know too much about Apostolic churches. I get along with any church that believes Jesus is Lord. I was searching the Deming city online because I heard revivals start in dry places and you definitely talked about a dead dry place.

@@Douglas4nations it’s truly sad. When I was little it was on fire for God. Where I live our church is always in revival. We still have youth in our church, most churches I have visited in Las cruces and Anthony don’t. They say they have to change the message of Jesus to best fit today’s generation, but why should the message change when Jesus and the gospel is the same yesterday today and forever?! Youth have left the church now No youth wants a message that changes they want something consistent and true if the message changes then it’s not truth.

@@anelrameiraminbad4055 You are definitely speaking the truth. I live in the Midwest and I attend a mostly Hispanic church and most of the young are under 10. The teens are being attacked by a school system that teaches them about drag queens and other immoral things. How does your church stay in revival?
