    It would have been Venetian Red (Rouge Furio), which is a bit darker (and a nightmare for fading - I have a 16v that colour, too). This is Sunrise Red (Rouge Valleunga).

    Brilliant video Rich. Love this car, really takes me back to being a kid - my Dad had several BXs and they're great cars. This one definitely wants to live!

    My 16 Valve developed an annoying rattle at the back not long after I’d had a custom stainless steel exhaust fitted in Walsall. So on my to one of the CCC National Rallies I popped into the exhaust place to ask them to have a look, which they did and couldn’t find anything amiss, I continued on my merry way and just put up with it. Fast forward a few weeks and whilst I was underneath polishing said stainless steel exhaust I noticed one of the rear disc shields had worked loose. 😩

    For a nice wheel alignment you only need a stick with a couple of screw in it, and a ruler. Since the BX alignment can be neutral, its quite easy. the DS-TT youtube channel has a nice explanation on how to do it (in dutch though). kzread.info/dash/bejne/pWaXrseyk7rcdNY.html and kzread.info/dash/bejne/a52ssZqPodTfZ7g.html Thats how I set the alignment of my BX. Since modern laseralignment equipment cannot cope with the half covered rear wheels. I did make an adition to the DS-TT vids, by taping a tapemeasure to the floor at the end of the measuring stick. I also made an excel calculation sheet to determine the exact to-in or to-out. I've checked this method with the lasersetup (with another car, a BX does not fit these systems), and the results matched. I should make a video about my setup....

    Uncle had one of these I believe it was a TR though if that was an option. Used to tow a caravan to great effect wth it allbeeit he needed a heavy trailer license to do it.

    @@UPnDOWN I know I seem to remember this one was slightly lowlier though. The TRS:s around were kind of more boy racer ish. ButI'm swedish so that might also make a difference becasue yours doesnt seem to have much in the way of body kits. Also I might be wrong and the boy racer ones were called GTi or something like that. I lovet that BX though. Much more comfortable than the saab 900 we sometimes travelled alongside.

    You probably struggled with the rear pistons because you had maximum pressure in the rear suspension on the highest setting, you can lift the car then put it to low mode and it won't move much. Also your accumulator sphere sounds very dead 😉

    I dropped the suspension before I removed the sphere. Only cracked it off while it was pressurised and on max height.

    My mistake. The rear brakes on mine tend to get stuck, I don't get the clonks though, only squeaking at some angles. I guess ideally the rear calipers should be rebuilt on such old cars.

    Because things like hoses and pipes have a lifespan governed by age, not usage. Short version: They were rusty as hell and leaked everywhere.
